Have worked in salons many years as an esthetician who does facials & waxing. After moving to Smyrna following a divorce, I wanted to reduce my $75+tip haircut expenses. Saw woman with haircut similar to mine who told me she went to the owner Monique and pays $22. Have gone 3 times, and I am very satisfied. Although the cut doesn’t last as many weeks before needing again, at that price I don’t mind going to see her a week or two earlier! Monique is a very sweet woman, and I appreciate her skills.

I called to ask a couple of questions about if they colored natural hair and more and Monae didn’t want to answer any of my questions and kept saying that I’ll have to make an appointment. She was fairly rude about the situation and acted as if she could care less about customers and doing hair! I would not go!! Customer service should be your first priority, not making money!!! And that’s all it seemed she cared more about! Thanks for letting me know not to spend my money in your store!

Would not recommend this salon to anyone. The previous owner was fantastic, but since it was taken over by new management the quality has dropped drastically. On top of that, It is also overpriced for a simple hair cut. Even my stylist Hanna is no longer there.

I went there for the first time and I loved it. I told the lady I want a new look so I asked the lady if she can surprise me and that’s exactly what happened. She did exactly what I wanted her to do. No other salon could surprise me. They would be well what you want I don’t know what to do on your hair. But at Monae they were professionals and did everything they could do to satisfied me. Love this place

This homey little shop rivals the quality of big name salons. Stop in get Monique, Dorothy, Gallager (no exploding fruit here, sorry, but this Hollywood diva is a hoot), Patty or Jamie (a proper lady that has a bit of freak in her, notice the ear rings and crazy haircuts) to give you a 1st class haircut, style, color, or perm. A great experience every time. These ladies will keep you in stitches and they do a phenomenal job cutting hair. Stop in tell them your standard cut or be brave, take the plunge and say, “do whatever you like.” No matter what kind of hairstyle, male or female you can not go wrong getting your hair cut here.
