I went to see Berkis two days in a row. The first day I went, I got a wash and a retwist. She put my hair in a mildly unflattering side updo after the retwist. I didn’t much complain because I didn’t have a style for the retwist (my fault) and she was going to add extensions the next day so it was coming out anyway. When I told her I wanted loc extensions, she said it would be $300 and it would take 6 hrs. Having done my own loc extensions before, and it having taken me 12-16 hrs for really long extensions, and not being a professional, I didn’t really question it. I also told her that I didn’t want anything long or crazy, I just wanted my hair to be the same length and thickness and most of it’s about 8-10 inches anyway, so I just wanted a few more inches added.
