Bad customer service , lied about putting relaxer on my daughter hair .Telling me that it will last over 2 to 3 monthscharged me over $120 and on top of that cut her hair off which took over 14 year to grow all the way to her back.

Critical: ProfessionalismWas recommended by another stylist. Booked my appt a MONTH ago. Showed up for my appointment ON TIME. She’s not here. Turns out she closed for the week due to COVID. Didn’t bother calling, texting, emailing, NOTHING. All week I received reminders about my appt but no cancelation notifications. When I call to see why she’s not here that’s when she tells me she’s been SICK ALL WEEK. HAD AN ATTITUDE NO APOLOGY UNTIL I HUNG UP ON HER. Then a text saying she’s sorry she THOUGHT she sent me a message. SO DISSAPOINTED THAT IN MYSELF FOR NOT CHECKING TO SEE HER LOW RATING on yelp2.5 STARS. I am fairly new to the salon as a client. My look is short and natural with a splash of color. Madera is not only gifted but knowledgeable in her gift(s). After meeting her initially, I explained to her my dilemma from a hairstyle and color treatment that went wrong from my former hairstylist. She carefully assessed the issues and provided her professional opinion. I was very pleased. It didn’t take all day. She didn’t inflate her fees. I paid for great professionalism and service. She continues to amaze me and stay consistent in her practices. If you are like me, I am picky and demanding. In addition, she is very laid back and personable. Thank you for reading this post. If it’s any consolation, I read through the reviews to secure my natural curiosity about Madera’s talents and reviews ro ensure this would not be another “hair raising and eyebrow” event. Poor customer satisfaction. I was going here and only getting silk presses, nothing hard, very easy to do. I was only getting my hair washed and straightened with no curls. 60$ fine. I see my stylist Imani with flexi rods in her hair i finally decide to try them she could not get me in the time I needed so she referred me to this girl named Asia. Omg, do not go to her. My hair turned out horrible. As a stylist she should have cut my hair to make it even, she asked me did I want to and I said if it’s going to make the style look right then do it,she replied you should be fine. After 3 hours and her deciding to use the shops products in the meantime to deep condition, hydrate treat and perfect her own her, when my was done my hair looked a frizzy, half rodded, uneven mess. I expressed my dislike and asked if she could she fix it, she said there was nothing she could do. And gladly took my 70$. Instead of Imani offering to fix it for free she tries to add in all these other things i “need ” so I could give her another 70$. I will never go back and do not recommend anyone go here. I’m disgusted. After only 24 hrs my hair is even worse

Go see kara yall you won’t be disappointed! It took 7 hours to do my braids and she was a trooper lol she made it entertaining, easy going and a total sweetheart. I had a reaction to the extensions we did and even weeks later she was great about giving me advice.
