I came in for a repair. I initially completed my gel pedicure on 8/14/2022. I did not have time throughout the week to come back, but I noticed once I left that the polish was thin and the white looked translucent. I came in and explained to the receptionist that I just need a new top coat applied. I asked her the wait time and she said she’d grab someone really quickly it shouldn’t be too long. FOUR people received pedicures in the time that I was waiting. The nail tech next to me noticed I was becoming agitated and called over the receptionist who proceeded to go and talk to management. They started acting confused because I said I didn’t remember the name of the tech that initially completed my pedicure… not sure why I would she didn’t talk to me the entire time. I pulled up my bank statements and showed the receptionist that yes I was actually here and she was like oh no I don’t need to see it I just need to remind the manager to check… I’ve been waiting for over an hour for a repair that would’ve taken 5 minutes and numerous people were taken before me who arrived after me! I absolutely will not be back. If you look and my big right toe you’ll see what I mean about the translucent polish.

I used to love going to Modish for dip nails, but got frustrated with bumpy application, and cracking and breaking within a couple of days of them being freshly done. I started doing my own dip (I was getting the same color every time anyway), and I can easily get 2 weeks out of each application. I do not use my e-file on my natural nails, which has helped. I’m not sure that buffing my hand is really a feasible practice at a salon, but my nails were so thin that my nail beds hurt if there was no dip on them.

Took my daughter here for her first mani/pedi and was highly disappointed. Atmosphere is gorgeous. The gentleman doing my daughter’s mani/pedi was very rude. He should not be working with children. He did her mani and pedi, was annoyed that she wanted her nails and toenails panted only (no cutting, etc). She is sensory sensitive so cutting her nails and rubbing lotion on her legs isn’t something that would feel good. The guy doing her mani/pedi just got up and left when he was done. Didn’t say bye, or wait until your dry, just left.

Very poor quality, Chloe did my nails, she forgot to paint one side of the nail, when I asked about that she took the nail clipper and clipped one side of the nail, really? Then she did a poor job on the application of the tip, so now my nail looks and feel uneven.

I have been going here for two years. It is an upscale atmosphere. My granddaughters love to go get there nails done at this location. They have a lot of patience with small children .My Husband, sons and daughter -in-laws all go as well. We have always been happy with our nails. I highly recommend Anna She always does amazing designs. The staff are all very nice.Thank you

I came in around 3:15 for an SNS manicure and pedicure. Around 4:45 I started getting worried, I had to pick up my kid from daycare and my hands weren’t even started. She starts doing my nails and I told her I had to go by 5:30. She starts rushing and completely rubbed off all the skin around all of my fingers. 2.5 hours for a sub par rush job. My nails are lumpy and horribly shaped and my cuticles are bleeding and raw.

I had a good experience here. Service was fast. They have plenty of chairs and spaID. I like that I could wait for my nails to dry while relaxing in the massage chair. They also offer discounts to teachers, if you have your school id.

Worst job I’ve ever received. There wasn’t enough nail polish and she insisted it was fine my nails lasted 2 days before they started peeling and the charge an extra $40 for gel on my hands and feet and both started peeling off. I have never had my gel peel off my nails ever. Nobody there knows how to do designs either… terrible way to Tun a business and I waited an hour and ten minutes before they started my pedicure them another 30 for my nails ..,. Stay away!!

I use to like to go to Modish, I started going to Modish Mint Hill where I lived at the time, I went through a few technicians until I found the one that did my nails exactly how I liked! My nails grew, my cuticles were in great shape. When this technician left I followed. After covid, and appointments were continuing to be made, I thought it was an awesome way to come get your nails done. I then started going to Modish Harrisburg where this technician was, it was a bit more busy but still I was able to make an appointment. Now Modish Midwood is open, my wonderful technician is there, but they no longer take appointments. If I want to see her to do my nails, I must sit there until she becomes free and I am next in line, do you see the issue? If we go to the hairstylist we like and trust, go the mechanic that knows our car and who we like, pick the primary doctor we like, why shouldn’t we go to the nail technician we like. And why be penalized and not offered appointments, because some complained about waiting for there appointments, this was the reason the manager gave me for not being able to make an appointment with the technician I would like to. Instead after working a 12hr shift at night, come in and sit and wait all day for your technician. This after years of patronage to his salons, poor business practice. Not to mention that technician’s loss of client. Shame on you Modish Midwood, you lost a very faithful client. I was highly disappointed in the lack of integrity and loyalty to customer who has been so loyal to you. Highly disappointed. You need to care for your clients with a bit more integrity. If you had customers complaining about the wait, it sounds like perhaps your scheduling needed adjusting, if you make an appointment for a service that is what you get, there is no add on’s at the time of appointment! If you walkin you have the right to ask for what you like, but if you make an appointment for SNS, when you have your appointment you can’t add on a pedicure with that technician because she may have another appointment, you can have someone else do the pedicure, I do believe that is managing. But if your goal is to stuff as many people in, to acquire as much money as possible, then you will have overbooking, but don’t penalize me for your choices in business.
