Positive: QualityI just wanted to stop by and say thank you to the girls at Modern wave from the receptionist who took my frantic call to Katie who saved my head! This weekend I bleached my own hair and quite literally destroyed it. I was in complete shock as my hair started to fall out in chucks (Don’t do it yourself, leave it to the professionals!!!!!) and then to a crazier shock when I realized that most hair salons were not open on Sundays! I was so lucky to be able to find this salon and also lucky to have been able to sit in Katie’s chair while she dealt with a disaster she had no idea she was walking into. Katie was patient, reassuring and kind as she took off almost all of my hair from the severe damage I had caused. I walked out in complete shock from the haircut as it was drastic but so necessary! I have now fallen in love with my new look (slowly but surely) and I cannot thank Katie enough for helping me in my craziest time of need. I highly recommend her for haircuts and color as she will walk you through everything with an incredible amount of knowledge all with a huge smile on her face. Thank you so much Katie! I just wanted to stop by and say thank you to the girls at Modern wave from the receptionist who took my frantic call to Katie who saved my head! This weekend I bleached my own hair and quite literally destroyed it. I was in complete shock as my hair started to fall out in chucks (Don’t do it yourself, leave it to the professionals!!!!!) and then to a crazier shock when I realized that most hair salons were not open on Sundays! Critical: Professionalism, QualityIt’s quite obvious they are only replying to positive reviews so here’s the honest truth. Please save yourself a lot of stress and do not come here. Unless you’re a client 35+ who can keep filling their commissions every month or two they will not care about you whatsoever. I started coming here around a year ago for a basic hair color and the process went fairly okay . The stylist was friendly enough so I decided later that year to go back. This stylist was stand-offish and I was willing to pay whatever it took to the agreed upon look. She still rushed through it and while it was nothing like what we talked about, I settled. I’m fairly not picky when it comes to hair dressers but if you do choose to come here go to the same one every time, it’s the only way you will truly be taken care of. The last straw came last night when I came in for a simple trim. The hairstylist didn’t even introduce herself just threw me into a chair. We talked about what I wanted, a small trim on my hair of about 2 inches and long layers. I even showed her a picture. My hair was very long and she walked to the back of my head to say “I’m cutting it here” and tugged on my hair where I couldn’t even confirm the length. She then went about chopping random pieces of hair until about 4 inches of it was gone and my hair looked nothing like either the picture or what I said. There was nothing I could do at that point and she asked if I wanted it dried, clearly showing she didn’t want to. So I payed (where the front desk was even more judgy) and left. I have never written a google review but wanted to make sure no one else ends up spending over $40 to have their hair look like it’s been chopped unevenly with safety scissors by a rogue kindergartener. Unless you’re a client 35+ who can keep filling their commissions every month or two they will not care about you whatsoever. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueLaura did an awesome job on my hair! It was my first time seeing her and I absolutely love my highlights. She was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The salon was extremely clean, and they are taking many precautions to keep their clients safe. Will be back again!
