I want short coffin shaped nails. I’m like every nail techs worst nightmare. Rosie gets them perfect. She even has a laugh with me when I get creative with colors! I have referred many friends and often times give Gift Certs as gifts. All who have experienced Rosie/Modern Nails have been extremely satisfied. Looking through prior reviews, the last review posted is not fair or accurate. I happened to be at Modern Nails when the girl claiming a poor experience was present. I witnessed her on-site and she appeared to be pleased with the results. She questioned the cost because she did not factor in a French tip color. Critical: QualityBy far the worst nail place I’ve ever been to. First, I called this morning informing the owner or manager woman that I’d be coming in at 1pm with a friend of mine. I arrive, and it turns out I somehow never confirmed whether I would be coming or not, so she went ahead and gave my appointment to someone else.I originally came in for acrylics but since the woman gave away my appointment, she said she could only fit me in for a gel manicure and my friend didn’t even get a manicure or anything at all.I accept it and go ahead with the appointment and show her my inspo picture which is the thin pink French tips.Let me just say that I’ve seen amateurs on Tiktok do a better job.My nails are the ones with the red tips. Some of them are rounded, some are squared and I’m not really sure what the woman was even doing. Thought I wiped it off now, she even smeared some nail polish on my pinky finger and I’m pretty sure that’s not supposed to happen in a professional environment.Then, moving onto the price. At the beginning of the appointment, I asked her how much the gel nails were going to cost (because I was planning on acrylics before she gave away my appt) and she told me $30. I end up paying $40 to do full French tips (which is not what was in my inspo picture so she didn’t even tell me about that extra cost).Overall, I am very very unhappy with the result and would never in my right mind recommend this place to someone.
