Normally, I drive all the way into Long Beach to get my nails done because my husband went to school out there. But I didn’t want to drive that far for just my nails after he graduated, so I tried the Nail lounge twice. The first time, the woman who did my nails cut my cuticle so bad when filing, she left indents around my finger where she filed. The shape was bad, the paint job was bad, a few of my nails were pointing upwards. I started going to the place in Long Beach, but after the husband graduated I tried Nail lounge again. The nails looked great after requesting someone I knew was good (recommended) and they looked great, but he didn’t file my natural mail on the sides so they began to lift immediately. While at work less than a week later, one of my nails cracked in half, without me even noticing or feeling it. I am VERY careful with my nails, I don’t slam them into doors, I don’t press buttons with them, nothing. So I called and they got me in which was nice. Until I had to pay almost 10 dollars to get one nail fixed, that I didn’t break! Not to mention there is still glue around my nails. I’ve been getting acrylics for YEARS, and I have NEVER had a nail break in half the way this one did. And if I ever had an issue with my nails less than a WEEK after I got them done, I was never CHARGED for it. I’m very disappointed and will be making the drive back to Long Beach from now on. I never leave bad reviews, but this was not right.

Critical: Professionalism, QualityThe lady who did my pedicure was extremely rude the fact that she didn’t understand English made it difficult except her body language and attitude was written all over her. Next the lady that did my nails was very rude as well any little move I made, she treated me like a child and I don’t appreciate that considering how expensive this place is. I normally express in person when someone is being very rude rather than in a review but today’s experience was way too much. I held back people go to this place to relax to feel good and that was quite the opposite for me. I paid $50 for my pedicure alone! Look at the photos , terrible terrible service! I’ve never been anywhere that mess up my pedicure. I did a shimmer white and tried not to choose an Esse so it’s not thin and they still didn’t do a great job on my polish.

I went in for a manicure, the nail tech rushed through my manicure, didn’t prep my nails and started applying lotion on my hands. I’ve been getting my nails done for years, that’s typically the last step. I had a gel polish removed and I could still see bits of my old nail color before she began applying the new color.

I have been going to Modern for my Acrylics for the past couple months and they have always done an outstanding job. Came in earlier this week after letting my nails grow out for way too long and had a new set done by Tiffany . She was quick, did an impeccable job and gave me a new set of flawless matte black coffin nails. Will be coming back soon.
