I have been to many salons in the Portland area with perfectly fine results… but I never found a stylist that made me want to come back or continue with as a client so I always hopped around… until KAYLA! She is a true artist with both cuts and color. Her attention to detail, dedication and overall vision always wows me. I followed her to Mint Salon Block which has a really unique set-up with each stylist having their own room. Kayla finally gave me the confidence to make a bold change with my hair and she worked with me over several sessions to transition slowly so my hair stayed beautiful and healthy. To top it off, she’s super cute and such a pleasure to spend time with. I love talking with her. And she does an amazing job on my husband’s hair, too! I can’t say enough good things about her.

I got my hair done here almost a month ago. I liked it when I first got it done because the color looked great but after some time, I noticed that the product that was used in my hair severely damaged my hair. Whenever I wash my hair and then brush it, it is impossible to get all the knots out. My hair used to be so healthy now I can barely run a hairbrush through my hair. Every day when I get out of the shower my hair is so knotted and unhealthy feeling. I have tried using a hair mask and it barley helps. If this is how my hair is going to feel after I go here to get my highlights done, I will not be returning. Reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is the woman who did my hair was very kind.
