Minako is very caring, she listened carefully my hair styling skills and goals for cut and color, then design cut my hair to give a round back and extreme thinning. I’m impressed that my flat back looked perfectly round head, and after the hair cut, it seems drying within 5 min. My hair is very thick (big, fat, heavy and super volume) and after the hair cut, i felt like my head is lightweight and easy to move. Minako encouraged me to use hair iron to manage the end, and she offered to work on my hair with the brand new hair iron from Japan, no need for any heat protective items. The effect was amazing, the curl was strong, even after a good night sleep and my hair color looks better after that special hair iron. My skin is sensitive and no hair spray means no skin irritation on neck even most humid and hot day. Also, Minako showed me how she uses the hair iron on her own hair. I’ve learned how to block my hair and use my hair iron better, and able to do better hair with higher temperature and shorter time. Thank you, Minako! I’m looking forward next appointment. i have been getting my hair cut by Minako for 3 years now (at Bellissima in San Rafael). As an asian male, it’s hard to find someone skilled/experienced at cutting my type of hair. Minako is meticulous and precise, has a great eye for details and balance, and personalizes my haircuts to suit my individual face/head shape. She keeps notes on what i request and what looks good, and approaches the task like an artist. Minako is a master of her craft, and a consummate professional (e.g. she sends me text reminders about our appointments, and is always punctual and reliable). I consider myself lucky to be one of her regulars!
