I have been going to Mina’s for the past 3 years and I am always so happy with how well they do. I get gel powder for my nails and they always last and have never broken. The nail technicians always do a fantastic thorough job with my nails and my toes when I get a pedicure. The environment is so relaxing I always look forward to going there. Mina is so sweet and always very accommodating. I would recommend this nail salon to everyone in the Hamden area. I’ve been to so many nail salons throughout my life but I was never satisfied until I found Mina’s. I have been going to Mina’s for the past 3 years and I am always so happy with how well they do. I get gel powder for my nails and they always last and have never broken. The nail technicians always do a fantastic thorough job with my nails and my toes when I get a pedicure. The environment is so relaxing I always look forward to going there. Mina is so sweet and always very accommodating. I would recommend this nail salon to everyone in the Hamden area. WORST PLACE IVE EVER BEEN IN MY LIFE!!!!! It all started when I called and asked if they did acrylic fills and they said yes (THEY WERE LYING). They ended up ripping my previous set off (causing me to gush blood) and putting a new set on. Instead of putting acrylic on, they put that SNS powder on which I never asked for. On top of all of that, all my nails ended up different lengths and shapes. When I went to pay I asked if they gave discounts for Quinnipiac students. She said yes but not for the services I got. Ended up paying $75 for half of the nails to fall off in less than a week and for stuff I never asked for. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN.

I asked for tips and dip powder over that, to which the manager suggested I do tips and gel since the tips provide the strength I was looking for with the dip. They proceeded to cover the tips with acrylic powder (?) (which I avoid on purpose by doing dip color instead). My nails were all different shapes and super thick, and took two hours to complete. Plus they charged $65. During our visit the nails techs were talking about how techs kept quitting while they were working on clients. I asked for tips and dip powder over that, to which the manager suggested I do tips and gel since the tips provide the strength I was looking for with the dip. I got my first eyelash extensions ever at Mina Nails and Spa and I am very happy with it! The salon was very clean and seemed very professional; my eyelash technician did an amazing job. They look gorgeous and I will definitely be coming back in a few weeks to get them filled in. Looking forward to trying a UV gel manicure next time.

My first time at Mina’s was a great experience. My nails looked great, everyone was very friendly and I enjoyed my experience. As time went by, they cut corners, my services were rushed, and my nails reflected this. I wrote a review reflecting this on FB and Mina asked me to change it because she changed staff and claimed this would not be the case moving forward. I did so hoping that what she said was true. I made an appointment following the review change and arrived to find that the nail technician I had the appointment with had just taken another customer even though my appointment was in 2 minutes. I ended up sitting in the salon waiting for 45 min because no other technician was available. I left without getting my nails done, very upset and went to another salon in the area. Mina did NOTHING to rectify this. I will NEVER be back.

My fiance and I drove past on our way home and stopped in to see if there were any spots available for pedicures. They sat us immediately and everyone was very friendly and hospitable. Everything was very clean and orderly. We both got pedicures which included a hot stone massage on our legs and a back/shoulder massage while her nails dried. We will definitely be going back as their prices were reasonable and the service was great.
