I been battling with the decision to leave a review ever since I got my hair done about 2 weeks ago. But because it’s been on my mind I have to. When I went to get my hair done by Mimi I showed her the picture of what I wanted. So I was under the impression that she could do it because it was simple style. So when I arrived at the shop I showed her another picture of style that I thought was cute and asked if I could get that instead. Mimi told me that she couldn’t because she makes appointments accordingly to the style the client wants. FYI I have a sister that’s in the same field that’s in cosmetology and clients change their minds all the time but she always made a way to accommodate them. Anyway, so when Mimi told me that I was very disappointed but I decided to stay to get my hair done . While I was in chair as she was putting rubber bands in my hair to section it off she was pulling my hair . Now I have soft hair and I told her she hurting me. She did not like that. She got highly defensive and wanted to argue with me about what I said and I guess how I said it. Very Unprofessional not the mention she didn’t even do the style correctly of what I asked. Never will I go back. I was hurt and disappointed by the whole situation.

I Was recommended to Mimi. She was very professional. She braided my hair in an updo quickly and I absolutely LOVE my hair. She explained how to maintain my braids. She has a relaxed environment (in a salon/shop). She did not stop repeatedly to text/ talk on the phone or do other things. Once I sat down, I didn’t get up until she was finished not did she stop. I will definitely return!

I would highly recommend Mimi. I moved her 6 yrs ago from NY and she is the only one I let braid my hair. She takes her time gives you ideas if you are unsure of what style you want. Her work is always neat! Trust me you will not be disappointed!
