I went to angel for 2 jumbo feed in braids. SLAYED and laid. I fell in love with these ladies as soon as I walked in. They were welcoming and communicative, definitely powerful female hustlers. Angel was awesome aside from the price being a bit more than I expected but it is a shop and typically shop prices are higher than freelancers. I got it done yesterday and I’m pretty sure everywhere I have gone I’ve gotten 1000s of compliments. Love my hair and will be coming back! Support local businesses!

I had the best experience at Mimi House of Beauty. The atmosphere is very professional and my stylist Nancy was very meticulous with cutting my hair into a style that complimented my face. I appreciate her experience and knowledge as I am transitioning back to my natural hair texture. My daughter has been seeing Tami for the past 4 years and she’s has gotten braids, weaves and even the protein treatment and we have never been disappointed with the results. She always gives us advise on how to take care of your hair in between our visits. As for me, I even decided to have Tami as my hairdresser because I decided to go natural. My hair is now healthier and looks better than it’s been in years. Tami is very accommodating and I can usually get an appointment within a few days of calling her. The money investment is well worth it!

I went to Mimi for a sew in with lace closure and it was the worst experience ever. She was very friendly but it has only been two weeks now and I have already scheduled an appointment with another stylist to have the sew in redone. Her sister braided my hair and I have a total of seven braids and no hair added. Mind you I have thick natural hair. I told her I preferred her add hair even though my hair is a good length just so it was not so much tension on all of my natural hair. She told me not to worry and I have been ever since. The first day of my sew in I had to go out of town and when I got there to see my friends I have not seen in years all they did was make fun of my hair. I had not only white women but white men tell me it looked like I was wearing a wig. So I arrange for Mimi to fix my hair and it was still wrong and I went back to her one more time to try to do something about it and her solution was to tape the closure. I have had sew ins since I was a teenager and I’m in my mid twenties and never has ANYONE taped down my closure. EVER! There’s more to the story but Anyway it was a complete waste of $135 and I hope she did not ruin my lace closure. Don’t waste your money!!!!

I am new to Tampa, Fl and everyone knows the risk that comes along with finding a stylist in a new city. Let me say… I’m so happy that I found Mimie’s house of beauty. I went in for a sew in with a little leave out on the top and sides. The braider (didn’t catch her name) was so gentle, but fast at the same time. I didn’t know that was possible!? I normally need an Advil or 3 for the braid down. When I moved over to Mimie’s chair for the sew in, she just did her thing… fast as well! She then gave me some quick layers and blended my leave out with zero heat! (I’m natural and installed kinky curly hair) She laid my baby hairs without a ton of edge control. The whole experience was quick and professional. The weave itself and baby hairs just felt light and airy. I definitely recommend her services. Every stylist at Mimie’s house of beauty actually seem friendly and talented. I’ll be back for sure

I go to Mimi’s House of Beauty every other weekend to cut my hair and receive a great experience by the shop owner, Mimi, and my regular hairstylist Nancy. They always treat me with hospitality and know how to handle my hair. They cut it with precision and style. I recommend Mimi’s House Of Beauty to anyone looking for a great salon experience.
