I stopped by to see if my adult daughter was done getting her hair braided. It’s just after 2pm and she’s been waiting from 8am to get her edges done. There were 6 women working on heads already and she had to wait. That’s not a problem. I sat down and was talking to my daughter for a bit ,then she got up to use the phone outside. A young lady was sitting there also waiting. To be friendly, I asked her if she was next and she said she didn’t know. Immediately one of the women started talking in her native language to the others. I didn’t know at the time she was talking about me. I said to the young lady, oh okay, my daughter has been waiting since 8 o’clock. The woman then approached me and said she (meaning my daughter) didn’t have an appointment. I said, I know hon, she said you told her that you didn’t take for touch ups and that people just have to walk in. She rudely said we’re not obligated to do anyone’s hair if they don’t have an appointment. I was in total disbelief. I said but that makes no sense. It’s like if I should get a full relaxer and then told by the stylist that she isn’t obligated to do my touch ups. She said you’re not doing your hair you have to leave. I said wow, really? I got up and left.( Remember my daughter is still outside). The woman came behind me and locked the door. I was shocked!!! I turned around and gestured to them pointing about braiding my daughter’s hair. She unlocked the door and I stuck my head in and said I am going to give you a bad review. (Yes, I wasn’t getting my hair done today but that’s where I got my braids done before and I gave them an excellent review. That’s why my daughter drove from Bergen County to do her hair there . But this woman…She is unprofessional, disrespectful and rude. Not to mention EXTRA, because that was so uncalled for.
