Established in 2004, our salon offers exceptional services and products to Kalamazoo and the surrounding area as well as all college students! We are proud residents of Kalamazoo- when you frequent our locally owned business you not only are supporting us as passionate residents of the city we love, you are also helping our artists and the passion they have for their creativity!

I have had bad experiences with different salons in the area in the past, but Milan Style Shop was great! I was greeted by the owner and the stylist did a wonderful job on my hair cut. She was personable and listened to what I wanted and executed it perfectly. The deep condition I had was also very nice and has kept my hair feeling soft. I also love that they use natural products. I will be back for my next hair cut.

First off, I love Aveda products. My hair loves Aveda products. When I saw Kalamazoo had an Aveda salon, I was pumped. Living on a college budget, going to Milan is my big “treat your self” occasion. I’ve tried a few of their stylists and they’re fantastic. Kate never misses! She cuts my hair like nobody’s ever cut it before, and handles my curly/ wavy hair with confidence. She’s great with recommending products and don’t even get me started on the scalp massage. I’m looking forward to scheduling my next appointment!

Such a great place to pamper yourself and relax. Everyone was very sweet! When I entered, I was offered tea or coffee while I waited in the comfiest chair ever. The atmosphere was calming and welcoming. As my stylist greeted me, she noticed I was wearing a mask and offered to wear one, which was extremely courteous and much appreciated. I’m sad that I’m moving away and won’t be able to come again! Bottom line: excellent establishment. Cut and style cost me ~$40 including tip!

my experience at this studio was phenomenal. firstly, the fact that Jason worked with me to schedule via text was great. Audrey gave me such a nice head massage, plus a fantastic cut that i’m super happy with! i’m a medical student living on loans so my priority was affordability, but this place knocked it out of the park on all fronts ☺️ i’ll be back for sure!

I think I finally found my hair people in Kalamazoo. Jessie gave me the best cut I’ve had in a long time. At a separate appointment with another stylist, I had a color job I wasn’t happy with, but when I let them know, they quickly responded with care. Kate was so talented in fixing me up, and I’m excited to see her again for future color. Really appreciate the customer service!

Okay I’m a long winded dude so be forewarned! I love this salon and look forward to my cut. They run a tight ship and the salon is very pleasing aesthetically. The whole staff is terrific. They greet you promptly when you walk in and offer a cup of coffee or tea, and the atmosphere is relaxed but professional. The stylists are passionate about what they do, and they have a consultative and patient approach. When I first went in, I was looking for a great haircut and a little extra guidance than the typical salon and Noelle set me up with a great fade. I’ve gotten more attention and compliments about my hair then I ever have had in my life! Noelle and Stacy have both cut my hair and do great work. They also sent me a handwritten thank you note in the mail…I am sincerely impressed with the level of service at Milan.
