Came down for the weekend and wanted to get a cut, used to go here as a kid but some lady cut my hair way to short and ruined my weekend. Didn’t ask me anything while cutting my hair and by the time she was done it was too late. I gave pretty simple instructions so I don’t know what happened but I would not recommend this place.

Pay attention to the bad reviews. The lady that works here (I don’t know if it’s the wife) does whatever she wants to. I always cut my bf hair and we know exactly which numbers he uses. He told her and even with that she did what she wanted to with a sassy attitude. She clearly did not know how to cut curly/coily hair so if you have that type of hair do not come here.

Front door says Walk-in welcome. Within advertised business hours the only employee is sitting inside without customer. Knocked on door asking for hair cut. Was immediately denied and employee went back to playing on phone

Inviting and warm atmosphere. Price is reasonable for a haircut in Manhattan(24 dollars excluding the tip). Got my haircut from Met. He listens to what you want and asks questions along the way to make sure you are satisfied. He’s not too personal or talkative unless you need him to be. My first time there we had a good conversation through out the haircut process. Second time I was there I wasn’t in a talking mood and he didn’t push for a conversation just kept it about the haircut. Not until I decided to talk to him about a razor bump problem did we have a more open conversation. I like that. He’s an excellent barber and gives a clean cut and shave. You can pay for the haircut excluding the tip with a credit or debit card which is great for someone who isn’t always carrying around much cash. First time customers get a loyalty card, that is punched in every time you get a haircut. After 9 haircuts you get the tenth one free.

I usually don’t pay $32 bucks plus tip so $40 for a cut but definitly worth it….the kid with glasses definitly knows how to use a blade n has a relaxing n calming way of cutting. First time I ever got a cut n the barber wasnt stopping to talk to anyone. Paid close attention to what I wanted done….very relaxing……will definitely be back
