Dr. Savage is a excellent doctor he really cares about his patients and there skin , I had multiple skin cancers he removed each one perfectly . My experience there was not good. I went in for a simple skin issue and was charged $120 co-pay. Then they went ahead and billed my insurance for $134 and told them I hadn’t paid a co-pay. When I emailed them about it, I got no response. My insurance is really good so this was insane. I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone with my insurance so I could fix the issue. They seem more of a plastic surgery office disguised as also doing dermatology.

The staff and doctor was helpful and kind. However my issue is that my 2 yr old has a scalp growth and they needed a sample, and they did not numb her up first. I was so busy trying to calm her down that I didn’t notice till I got home how much they dug into the growth, leaving it raw and bloody, and I could only imagine the pain she was going through while they did it. I should’ve said something in the moment cuz I know better but I was more focused on consoling her. That totally affected my experience in a negative way because this is a toddler, it leads me to believe they do not cater to children appropriately.

I have been going here for almost a year I have had psoriasis for 10 years was covered head to toe finally came to see a doctor was put on injections everything was great but the problem is trying to get a pre authorization for medication I need I’m just a patient after I tell them they need to do a pre authorization they never do it I’m tired of having to call back and forth just to get my medication I don’t think that it’s fair that express scripts says it’s my responsibility to do it my self that I have to contact them honestly tired of it I been on the medication and I think something needs to be done because I should be on a year pre authorization because I’m on 4 doses every year of Skyrizi really disappointing that I have to be the middle man to two companies to get them to sign over for each other something needs to be done it’s not just myself it’s six other individuals that have the same problem that i have this is why after 10 years it took so long to trust a dermatologist

Face to face the doctors are great. The results of the meds have been great. However if you need anything, anything at all, prescription, lab work etc., Good luck, it takes days for anyone to get back to you, by then it’s well past due. Feels as though I should be getting paid with the amount of work I put into making sure treatment stays on its path. Unfortunately we are stuck as we are in the middle of months long treatments, I would discourage others from this office.

I think the doctors are great but the support staff isn’t the best or brightest! After having several appointments they still had trouble addressing my needs. As a health care professional myself I believe in making health care as simple and stream line as possible for every patient. Educating patients is also essential in optimizing results. Supportive staff should be proactive and ensure all patients are ready for their appointments which can be expensive. I believe this office needs to educate staff and set better care standards!

The worst experience I have ever had. My daughter, just 3 years old, has had serious problems with her skin from the first year. I made the appointment, they told me by phone that everything was fine when I got there after driving for almost 2 hours, they told me that they could not attend me because of some documents that my pediatrician had already sent them 3 times. The receptionists were bad, unprofessional, they made me wait 1 hour and a half to tell me that they could not attend my daughter.

I went in for an appointment as a new patient. The service was very quick and the Doctor gave me good information and I am waiting on the follow up within two weeks. The Nurse Anna was very friendly and quick. She was constantly making sure I was ok. I enjoyed my first experience with the Doctor and all the staff at Mid Florida Dermatology.

Dr. G and his staff are awesome. They really listen to their patients and are able to determine the best course for you. They are professional, the office is organized and I love their no nonsense, practical, caring approach. I am a pain in the neck when it comes to my care- I expect the best and they give it so kindly everytime I’m in the office. I have been going to this practice for several years and just love Dr. G and his staff!
