I have been to Michael Christopher’s salon for over a year (once every 2 months). I have also been to other salons for the same service (balayage). I can tell you I have paid double to triple the amount as I pay for my service here. The customer service is amazing and Julia is the absolute best. She really listens to how I want my hair to look (mine is very stubborn with color since it’s naturally dark brown). I recommend Julia for color and everything else.

I started going to MCS when the salon was located on the south side of Mayfield. Then you moved across the street and then you moved to your present location. So I have followed your salon for 40 some years. I think that says something about what I think of your salon. Darren always says “Hi” when he sees me. Marrianne does too. The ladies at the desk are always cheery and greet me by name. The beauticians all do beautiful work—just look around while your getting your hair done and they all say hello when they see me. Makes me feel welcome. It must be a great place to work because you see the same beauticians year after year. And best of all, I always look great when I leave.

After almost 30 years of coloring my hair, always professionally, I wanted to quit dealing with root regrowth. My stylist, Heather, listened to my concerns and has started the process of transitioning my hair to a platinum hair color. This will allow my roots to blend in as they grow out. Eventually, I will just need to freshen the color with a toner every 6 to 8 weeks. I am extremely pleased with how great it looks already and this was only the first step.
