I booked appointments for my husband and I at Mia salon using the app. I recieved a confirmation message and 3 messages reminding me of the appointment. I went in for the appointment and the stylist had no idea that I had an appointment and was confused on how I was able to book it. I explained I used the Mia app and recieved confirmation messages, further more showing her the app and messages. She seemed really confused and apparently uses a completely different app to book appointments. She told us she couldn’t see us, but we could walk around and see if someone else could. We tried one other person and it was really awkward so we just left. I’m not sure who is at fault, but whatever the disconnect is I hope there’s a resolution. So sad and disappointed that this was my experience there and I will likely not be back.

The setup for each stylist to have their own room, including a sink, feels safer these days with maintaining social distancing. I have grown with fantastic new clients who love the atmosphere and always compliment it and I am amazed at how many of my clients that came with me still remind me how much they love the private studios and would never go back to a regular salon. Melissa Neubeck is truly exceptional! In the spirit of full disclosure, I really like to have my hair cut. Most of my life I’ve gotten my hair cut, at least once a week, every week. It’s an important part of my life, which came to a screeching halt in March. So, as life started to return to the new normal, I reached out to Melissa. We had gotten to know each other in late 2019 and she had offered to take on a discerning new client. I reached out, and as soon as the business was reopened, I was one of the first in line. Melissa has been so kind and thoughtful, in addition to being an eminently qualified stylist. I presented her with a challenge, my hair has been close to Marine Corps regulation since I was 19 years old, and I wanted to try something new. It’s been a fun, satisfying, and rewarding experience!
