Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, ValueI do not recommend Amber at this salon. I was laid-off due to covid and contracted covid all in one-week. Because I had covid, I was forced to cancel my appointment and she charged me $70, (half of my $140 highlight treatment), which she said she’d apply to my next appointment and I understood. However, she did not include a timeframe or expiration date and we had to leave for a bit because a family member had major complications due to covid (it was not a good few months). She was kicked out of her old salon, so I had to make an appointment with her here. I agreed to a full highlight and cut, which she said she charges $190 for now, so my total should have been ~$120. After making the appointment, where she said she would honor the $70 that I already paid (I have documentation of such), she proceeded to do my hair. But, at the end she said she would not honor the $70 I already paid and charged me $215. An appropriate time to mention this would be prior to doing my hair or during the time of booking, not at the end. It was wildly unprofessional and unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. I do not recommend Amber at this salon. I was laid-off due to covid and contracted covid all in one-week. Because I had covid, I was forced to cancel my appointment and she charged me $70, (half of my $140 highlight treatment), which she said she’d apply to my next appointment and I understood.
