Went here for a haircut. I have medium length hair and was charged $80 for a haircut when i had been paying $60 all this time for longer hair. I told Amela i wanted to keep my length but she went super scissor happy and chopped off 4 inches of my hair. I am very upset and i have important events coming up for which she totally ruined my hair. Never going back and don’t recommend this overly priced salon to anyone!!!

I have been to the salon a couple of times now, Amela rushes through the process, she speaks to the other girls in her language which is so unprofessional!! When she blow dries my hair she is literally burning my scalp, and I am squirming in my chair in pain! She pulls the hair so much, that she removes my earrings all the time!! The color I asked for didn’t turn up the color I wanted, and now I have orange hair when I asked for brown!! Her prices are ridiculous, and go up every time!! Save your self and find someone else!!

I have been searching high and low for a stylist out in Long Island for the past two years. Found Amela on Instagram and gave her a try. From watching her haircut videos, a lot of hair would be cut off, which I was fine with. I love my haircut. It needed a good cut and she did just that. She was very personable and friendly. I will continue to go to her. The receptionist was very nice, offered me a drink and made sure I was ok while I was waiting for my cut. I was a hair assistant many years ago in an upscale salon in the city. I was the owners assistant for four years before I got married and moved out on the island. The assistant that took care of me did not do a great job. My hair wash was rushed. She never washed the back of my head and to top it off, she was watching the soccer game on her phone the entire time during my hair wash!!! Very unprofessional especially paying a high price for a haircut. She was more concerned about the game and talking to her colleague the entire time about the game. I didn’t get to relax (being a mom of three and just wanted some pampering and relaxation). Don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect the red carpet rolled out for me but, If that were me 10 years ago working in the city, I would have been fired. Especially, being the owners hair assistant. I tipped her what I thought was a generous tip. I should have given that tip to the receptionist! She did a better job than the assistant.

Owner Amela is a total rip off. Be aware! Make sure you ask prices before getting any service done from this salon. It was my first time there. I already had almost 8 months highlights but from my country so it was the time to refresh them. I have medium hair length. I saw her page on insta suggestions and liked her work. What she did was use my old highlights and turn them into balayage and gave me hair cut and the whole process took not more that 1:30 hrs and she charged me $400. She made a little video of me before and after for her page but she never post it because she knew that there was no obvious difference in my hair. So it’s not that I didnt want to pay for the work but what she is doing ripping off people is just not right . And please don’t trust her IG page its deceiving .
