I have been a regular customer with the Des Moines location for a year now and would expect a little bit of courtesy. I was 9 months pregnant and missed my appointment as I was uncomfortable with the belly. The staff did not care and went ahead and charged me the cancellation fee. I let it go because I do like this place and its hard to find your wax place and I continued going to them. Fast forward to September, my car broke down in the morning, my nanny didn’t show up and now I had a 6 month old with me. I called first thing they opened to let them know and ask for reschedule but the staff would not care about ‘life happening’ and mentioned they will have to charge half the service price for cancellation/ reschedule. This is how you regulars are treated here. And surprisingly to a fellow woman and a new mom. They pride themselves of being woman owned but cannot figure out a way to support fellow woman. It is just so disappointing when woman owned businesses act no different than male owned!
