I hadn’t been to a salon in over ten years, since I was a kid. It’s been a refreshing experience far from cutting or shaving my hair at home. Mamie Rose was incredibly easy to chat with and overall left the best impression. I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome of my hair, and it’s been so long since hearing a stylist who is complementary rather than quick to judge. I loved her work and her ethic. She was just so much fun and I will definitely be going back to the Mermaid Salon to see her! 🙂

I’ve been coming to this salon for over a year, based on a recommendation from someone else. Never have had any problems, my nails are always excellent. Earl does my hair and I have never had a hairstylist as excellent as him. Cutting short hair is an art, and he does amazingly. Will not go anywhere else ever! Haircut, Gel manicures

I’ve had my haircut for almost a month now and I can honestly say I hate it. Went in asking for a very specific hairstyle, showed the stylist multiple photos, mentioned 3 different times before she made the first cut that I didn’t want it above my shoulders. My hair was almost to my chest and this chick cut it up to the nape of my neck. I was furious. Instead of the style I wanted i left the shop looking like I had a jacked up pixie cut I was trying to grow out. Stylist also had the audacity to yell at me when I unintentionally kept moving my head and said because I kept moving she was cutting it shorter and shorter. Um instead of yelling at your clients maybe just communicate with them better? I understand it’s annoying correcting someone’s posture every 5 minutes but acting the way she did was beyond unprofessional. Blaming your client for why their haircut turned out the way it did is not okay. Say something instead of just cutting more and more length off. She also constantly kept trying to push me to buy some of the salon products when I wasn’t interested. What should’ve been an hour long haircut turned into 3 hours. Prices were pretty reasonable and the shop was cute and clean but I am beyond unhappy with my haircut and the service I received. Because it was cut so short I’m stuck with this until it starts growing out and my hair grows extremely slowly. Needless to say I regret walking into the shop. Like a lot.
