Moving to a new area i was stressed about finding a new salon. I chose this one. I walked in and showed Sara what i wanted and she was very confident she could accomplish it. I came in blonde and wanted some strawberry…i have never had someone put color on my hair at the shampoo bowl ….i thought it was odd. As she started to blow dry all i saw was brown… i left with ginger red roots and the rest was da splotchy ashy brown….i tried to contact the shop for my money back. Haven’t heard anything back.i washed it was Dawn dish soap to get some of the brown out. the next day i went to another salon and got it fixed immediately and it looks great now! photos below are what i left Meraki with …..i do not recommend.

I first want to say that the salon is super cute and the girls that work there are very sweet and I chose this salon/stylist based off the great reviews that I read and I was greatly disappointed in the outcome of my hair. I came in with grown out ashy/white blonde with my natural regrowth and was wanting the same tone of blonde just blended in. I left with splotchy gold/orange down to my already ashy ends. I literally fought back tears till I got in my car. I needed my hair done for my sisters baby shower the next day and I’m so embarrassed with how my hair looks. I’m not asking for a refund and I definitely don’t want the stylist to try and “fix” it, I just wish she would have said she couldn’t achieve my desired look than to leave with this mess. I won’t be returning to this salon.

First of all, the salon is so cute and has the best vibe and feel and is very well decorated. The staff is super friendly, Sara and Val are the sweetest, most down to earth ladies and make you feel like you are just “hanging with the girls” more than getting services at a business. I have had horrible experiences with my hair. Even having one lady at a chain salon turn my hair PURPLE!!! After visiting many different salons, never getting what I asked for and always leaving disappointed, I found this gem and haven’t been anywhere else since…and I won’t go anywhere else ever again. Sara is absolutely AH-MAZING and knows her stuff. I leave every time with EXACTLY what I want and asked for. They actually listen to their clients and do what YOU want, not whatever they wanna do. Val is also amazing. She has never done my hair but I wouldn’t hesitate one second to sit in Val’s chair if Sara was not available. I have watched Val work and let me tell you she is great!! The staff is super friendly, Sara and Val are the sweetest, most down to earth ladies and make you feel like you are just “hanging with the girls” more than getting services at a business. Have been going to this salon for over three years. So on my wedding day it was a no Brainer that I would go to Meraki to have my hair and makeup done. Laudee did a fantastic job on my makeup and even held up in the rain and my hair did as well thanks to Sara.

When I moved to Ocala 2 1/2 years ago after having lived in Miami my entire life, one of my fears was finding a hair stylist. I tried two others before I found Meraki Studio and Sara, my hair stylist. She is incredibly talented; excellent with color and the sweetest girl you could ever meet. The owner Valine is also a super hair stylist and very talented in so many things. I wouldn’t hesitate for a minute to have Valine work on my hair if Sara for some unforseen reason had to leave the area. Valine is also a sweetheart. I always look forward to my time there. If you want perfection, you have to try Sara or Valine.
