This was my first time visiting Merab Salon. It was very clean and the braiders were very friendly. They did a great job communicating as my natural hair was too long for mid-back soft locs, they made sure to tell me how much it would cost additional for butt-length. They had two braiders working on my hair so they finished fast. I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning in the future.

I absolutely loved my first experience with Merab Salon. The braided we’re sweet, professional, and hospital. They work collaboratively and efficiently to get the job done. I’ve visited the shop 4 times in the past 12 months. I look forward to my visit because everyone seem so nice. I also bringing my teenage daughter here, and have sent many friends here. This visit was quite different from the rest. I was charged an additional $20 for a few minutes of running a blow dryer through my hair. Whatever business owners choose to charge is fine, but due to a miscommunication and possibly a language difference I didn’t understand. I knew I should pay $225, but I did not understand there would be an additional 20. I didn’t bring any additional money, nor did I have access to extra money at the moment. The owner made a fool of me in front of everyone. She threaten to cut my hair out and made a scene in front of all the clients and employees. I couldn’t even lift my eyes to look at myself in the mirror the rest of the process. I just cried silently. I’ve never felt so low. No compassion, just mean and hateful. I don’t understand how a human can be so heartless and not take another person‘s feelings into consideration. I was brutally embarrassed. The situation could’ve been handled so differently. But I guess people have different upbringings, and maybe this is not a quality that has been instilled in the owner. I wish I left her feeling good and beautiful, instead I left wishing just maybe she had cut the hair out instead of me having to sit there and feel the way I did.

Place is very clean and they are efficient got out in 5 hrs when normally takes 8 – I asked them before I came if they tuck your hair in knotless braids. I was getting 27/613 and my hair color is 2. They replied they will tuck as much as possible. The first girl said “yes they will” then the other girl says “I will try I dont know how to” but she was clearly lying and just being lazy bc there was no effort at all. So go if you are getting a normal color.. but dont expect them to put in extra effort to tuck your hair if you get a color.

A month ago, I went to receive a service from this shop after being referred by a friend (whom only previously got knotless braids). My appointment was booked for soft locs. While my locs were being done, I noticed the ladies were applying the locs using two different techniques. I was already highly disappointed that for $300 they were using crochet hair for the full loc and only wrapping a thin piece of hair around it at the root. Within two days, my locs started sliding. I made a google review and someone reached out to me, in an attempt to resolve the matter. Which after all was said and nothing done, made it matter worse!!!!! After exactly two weeks and at least 20 locs missing (from sliding out due to the lack of skill), I removed the style. It was not worth the money, time, or drive. Please note my hair is more than long enough to hold the locs and I have maintained soft locs for two months before. Unfortunately, the quality of the work was poor.

During my appointment , the staff were extremely rude. They laughed and talked badly about their clients in French. I speak French and it made me uncomfortable to hear how they speak of their clients and their attitude.I was reading a pervious review regarding her experience of being embarrassed by staff and I was actually there that day as a customer. It was extremely tense in the salon and I wasn’t 100% sure about what happened until it was posted here. I felt so bad for her because she was crying and they staff were all just talking about her and laughing. Sad to be bullied while supporting a business and paying for a service.

This was an amazing experience! My appointment was two weeks ago and I was satisfied with the service , it took less than 3 hours for a medium waist length with 3 braiders. The staff was very friendly . I will definitely go back . Braids
