If you are natural and care about the health of your curls I would not go here. I had a sew in from a different stylist and came in for a wash and flat iron. When straightening my hair I looked down and saw the flat iron at 460 degrees! I didn’t even know they went up that high. At that point she was basically done so it was too late. My leave out is fried.

First time being serviced here and I must say I was very pleased. They were available for Walk-ins, my hair was deep conditioned, and there was no heat damage to my natural curls after my silk press.

Initially, I was getting my hair done there once every few weeks. My hair is natural (i.e., chemical free/not relaxed) and almost 26 inches long from the root; my hair is almost down to my behind. Somehow, after going to Memena for a few months, the lower 1/3 of my hair mysteriously broke off. The bottom half of my hair is now like 3 inches long. The last time I visited the shop (which was a while back because I refuse to ever go back after seeing the condition of my hair now), I could hear the stylist snickering when she was flat ironing the broken part of my hair. I don’t understand Spanish, so I don’t know what she was saying to the other stylist when she showed it to her (with a smirk); I did, however, notice that the stylist didn’t appear to be surprised by the breakage. I’m 100% certain that she intentionally broke my hair off, because the only time I put heat in my hair was when I got it professionally done, and the only place I got my hair professionally done was at that shop, by her. I would never recommend this shop to anyone. Do NOT patronize them. If I could rate this shop with 0 stars, I would.

So late to writing this review peroo, I had a great experience ! I got a sew in (full with closure) and Elena did so good. She even did mucho mas than I expected with the styling and cutting my cute Selena bangs ! Wait was pretty long, but it was a Saturday so im not mad.

Always amazing! I’m a licensed stylist so I don’t let just anyone touch my hair. But, it’s naturally curly and almost waist length. I rarely feel like doing it myself so I let Elena take care of it. She’s fast, efficient, and professional. Thanks, Elena!!
