Mel is amazing! Just went yesterday and I had a wonderful time chatting with Mel while she colored and cut my hair. Time flew by so fast and we shared lots of laughs. She is a lovely lady with a great personality and such a positive attitude. When I walked in I showed her my hair where the gray had grown out and I had some highlights. Being a mom, it is easy to forget yourself as time goes by when you are so busy catering to your kids. Mel knew exactly what I needed — a mommy pamper session! I showed her pictures of how my hair naturally looked and that I wanted my gray covered with refreshed color. She gave me exactly the look that I wanted and even better than I imagined. Her coloring was beyond professional. She did a “color blend” and it looked amazing! We enjoyed an animated conversation and I felt like I was talking to a long-time friend. I am so glad that I finally found a stylist that I like in the area. I am definitely coming back. I also told all my neighborhood mom friends about her as well. If you are looking for a new stylist/colorist, do try Mel!

Let me tell you about my friend Mel (because this is now how I consider her after my visit, even if she’s just a friend in my head). When I first entered the salon for the first time, it was very unassuming but there was a warmth to it. Upon being greeted by name by Mel, I quickly realized the warmth I felt was her. I sat while she finished up with her previous client. When she was ready for me, she offered something to drink (water or wine-after a long day this was exactly what I needed). Then we chatted a little about what I was looking for during the appointment-a refresh of my long layers in prep for my upcoming wedding- and she got familiar with my hair. We headed over for a wash. Conversation at this point really felt more like Mel was an old friend I hadn’t seen in awhile. Then the magic happened. She did a scalp massage as a part of my wash. Wow it was amazing! Afterwards, I thanked her and told her how much I enjoyed it and she needs to run a red wine special with a scalp massage because it definitely helped to relax me and forget about my workday stress. Normally when I get my haircut, I watch every little move the stylist makes because I have had some bad experiences in the past. With Mel, I felt so comfortable and confident I forgot all about any concerns I had. Next thing I knew, she was done and my hair gorgeous! I tend to go long periods between haircuts/trims because I have long curly hair but my experience with Mel makes me want to go back more frequently. I cannot say enough about her and the experience. I have also received so many compliments on my hair today. I chose to go to her because I read other online reviews speaking so highly of her. She lives up to the reviews and so much more. I can’t wait to go back! You have to check her out!
