I moved here last year, haven’t been able to find a place I liked to get my hair cut. After going to Mel’s, I haven’t gone anywhere else. It’s a family owned business, really friendly people. I have some weird hair, very curly and goes in some odd directions. I had my hair cut by Mel who’s been cutting hair for over 40 years (maybe 50), he knows what he’s doing. My haircut didn’t feel rushed, in fact he was very comfortable taking his time, checking in with me, and cleaning up any spots I thought might look weird after the hair cut and he knew how to fix those details. Went here for the good reviews. Unfortunately my side taper was patchy and the top was inconsistent lengths. Also had more cut hair on my clothes than I’ve ever had. Had to use my compressor at work to blow off. Seems like good people, just need more attention to detail on the cut.
