Melissa’s space is very lovely – comfortable bed, nice blankets, soothing lighting – so that one is very at ease right away. But more important are her skills: I am usually in need of some very specific deep tissue work to solve tightness or soreness. Melissa understands exactly how all the small muscles and attachments work in concert in order to solve a functional movement problem. I am so grateful for the wisdom she has to “see into” the issue and help my body heal so I can get back to all my activities. That is not to say, however, that her massages aren’t relaxing and rejuvenating-they are all that and practical. A wonderful mix.
