Hot Stone Massage
is especially effective for people who need deep tissue therapy. The hot stones loosen the muscles and fascia with their penetrating heat and their gentle gliding pressure.First we apply a set of volcanic stones, which are heated to the perfect temperature to the muscles of the back. Then other warm stones are used to massage the arms and legs. After the back is completely warmed up it is massaged with more perfectly heated stones. Stones are also typically placed on key muscles as well as between the toes.This is an extremely relaxing minimum 90-minute massage. Be prepared to melt away all of your stress. Michele is a licensed massage therapist in Northern Virginia, specializing in Medical Massage. She is currently certified in Myofascial Release, Cupping, Reiki Master/Teacher and perusing advanced studies in Neuro-Muscular/Trigger Point Therapy. This massage incorporates cleansing strokes, vibration, jostling and stretching to aid in the overall performance of the athlete. I’ve been coming here for the past several months and have had a great experience . However I came here today and saw one of their new massage therapists and the experience was not great . I scheduled a 90 min prenatal massage and the therapist cut the time short by 30 mins and told me that she doesn’t do relaxation massages , and that I should go somewhere else if I want a relaxing massage . I told her that I was pregnant and of course everything hurts however the massage helps me to relax . She informed she has never been pregnant before so she wouldn’t know. Never had an issue with the other massage therapists .
