The employees was wonderful and also the doctor. However, waiting 3 hours after my original scheduled appointment (many, many many people happened to be scheduled for the same exact time as I was). And by the time they had called me to the room after two hours and 35 minutes the doctor had gone to lunch. It was really rude of her to do such a thing. I was with a 4.5 year old girl who lost her patience and could not be there anymore. It was unbearable I’ll be looking else where. It was all just awful. The building definitely isn’t sanitary either. Only reason I came here is because of my daughter insurance. Sad

I had an appointment this morning. The staff was very pleasant and I was taken back in a timely manner, HOWEVER, I was very dissatisfied with the doctor. The only option of treatment for hyperpigmentation and ingrown hairs was laser treatment. When I asked for more affordable alternatives she was not willing to share any and seemed to be rushing me out. I waited a long time to visit this place due to my insecurities with my skin and was so excited to see a woman of color as the doctor. I’m very disappointed and do not plan on returning.

Honest review!!!!!! So today I had an appointment at 11:30, got there 20 mins early as it was my first appointment there. I waited 2 hours in the lobby and left. I was never seen. It was ppl there before me that said they had been waiting since 10 I’ve never seen a place ran like that before. I know things happen and even we run behind sometime but the place is a joke! I will never return. now the staff was nice but that’s it. Patricia was very rude to her staff. I pray that those young ladies find better jobs

In order to get an appointment you have to call leave a voice-mail and they will call you back a day or two later. They never asked me what I was being seen for and when they brought me to the room they never asked me what I was being seen for or cared to see if maybe I needed to be put in a gown. The blinds in my room wouldn’t shut because the little stick that turns the blinds broke off. The whole office is dirty and outdated my appointment was at 9:45am I never saw a dr until 12:30 I walked out of the office at 1pm for a 9:45 am appointment how does that happen? They didn’t necessarily forget about me, they were behind with everyone I heard like everyone like 10 people complaining alot about waiting people were mad in there including me I was furious they were clearly overwhelmed and understaffed it was actually really hard to see they need to make some serious changes! The staff is actually somewhat nice the checkout girl wasn’t very nice everyone else was but they are all just overwhelmed! I’ll never go back! Too dirty!

Waited 3 hours to be seen despite checking in early. The doctor was awful rough and the room they made me wait in was not very clean/updated. Only went here based on a referral and I’m not convinced I want to go back. If I’m scheduled to be seen at 9, I shouldn’t need to wait until 11 to be seen. Schedule people accordingly. I totally understand that the doctor is the only one there, but that means patients need to be scheduled accordingly. If that means 1 per hour, so be it. No need to make people wait hours to be seen, only to spend less than 5 minutes with the doctor.

Never met the doctor because she was “out for at least 10 days” when we showed up. The staff is extremely rude with greeting of “What do you need?” . Told me they couldn’t call and reschedule because they didn’t have my phone number but called me several times to verify we were coming. Long story short my sons wart fell off before we ever seen this doctor. The office its self has very little parking. Smells of dust and mold. Honestly for all parents, like myself, on Medicaid who’s only option is this place or Charleston take the day off and go to Charleston.

I’m so glad I came to look at the reviews. So I called for an appt and the young lady on the phone stated that they did take my insurance . Then she asked if she could put me on a short hold……… If I would have known that I would have been waiting until Jesus return I would of told her no and scheduled my appt right then. I literally called back 10 times with no answer. So that’s when I knew I had to look up the reviews on this place. Clearly this provider is only looking for a quick buck. I hope this provider get dropped from the plan.

Only giving one star because zero isn’t an option. I would like to start this review by saying please BELIEVE the rating. RUN AWAY FROM THIS FACILITY!!!!! Besides having a long wait once being placed in a room, unprofessional staff, and a unsanitary facility the doctor is SCATTERBRAINED! She was literally all over the place and it is evident that she’s only in business for the money. My prescription was never put in with the pharmacy. Three weeks later I had to call the office to inform them of not receiving a call from the pharmacy. It was hard to get in contact with the office to get this situation fixed. The doctor sold me a 1 ounce bleaching cream for $150 that only had her name on it and no label with ingredients. She told me that I could only pay in cash for the cream. I had to leave her office and go to the nearest ATM to get cash. Being that I couldn’t pay in cash me makes believe she is doing something illegal. What confirmed that she was doing something illegal was when she quoted me a price for laser hair removal. She quoted me a price for hair removal and when I called the office on the week of my appointment to confirm my appointment and the price, Karen at the front desk told me that the prices didn’t sound correct. Another front desk rep them got on the line and told me that the doctor probably quoted me a price for her PA. To my knowledge she didn’t have a PA at her facility. I then received a call from the PA who just happens to be her daughter. The PA “mini McClerkin “quoted me a price of $60 for hair removal. The hair removal would take place at the after hour weekend clinic that she runs. I asked her if it’s the same services that’s done by the doctor she stated that it was and she would be using the doctors machine to perform the service. She offered me services for $60 but advised that she could only accept cash payments. After speaking with the PA (who actually isn’t a PA) the doctor called me to advise that I don’t share the info regarding the Weekend Clinic to her staff and that I only bring cash. A day before my appointment at the illegal Weekend Clinic the PA “mini McClerkin” called me and stated “my mom said I have to charge you $150 in cash instead of the $60 I initially quoted you”. I then told her to cancel all services. Patricia McClerkin is running several illegal operations at the McClerkin Skin & Laser Center and needs her license revoked for malpractice. Please save yourself the headache and avoid this facility.
