I went to MBY Empire for my routine laser procedure and lock care. The laser service was performed in a private and well sanitized area and the proper procedures followed. I received quality customer service as always. I am very satisfied with my lock care from Merida and my laser service from Marcia. Both ladies are very professional and an expert in their field. Always willing to answer any questions or concerns and do their best to meet the need of their customer. I’ll continue to be a regular that’s for sure.

Absolutely disgusted with my experience here. If you have natural hair and are looking for a black owned hair salon that knows how to treat natural hair this is not the place for you. I went out of my way to avoid Dominicans because I thought this place would have a better awareness of how my hair needed to be treated but most of the other clients in there were getting perms. They do not know how to handle a black womans natural hair, even the simple basics as far as washing and not towel drying it. They used barely any product in my hair when I asked for a deep condition so it was basically frying under the dryer. On top of everything I was charged triple the price at the end because my hair was natural ! Which they did not inform me about before. Will never go back.

Based on my experience, if you have natural hair, this is not the place to go. From trying to detangle my hair without any kind of moisture or dampness. After, my hair was blow dried with no leave in, heat protectant etc. Staff was nice, but not worth a return visit.
