I’ve been a client at Maxi for 10 years now and I will never go back. I was charged 35 dollars for a soak off because they claim to have given me a manicure as well yet there is no polish on my hands. Not to mention none of my nails are the same length or shape. Below is the so called “manicure” I was charged for. Pedicure, Manicure

I went to this place on.a recommendation and I will never go back. The one who helped me was very nice but. . . they charged $65 for a dip set and its not even worth my regular price of $35. If it wasn’t.an emergency I would have NEVER paid that much. It don’t even look that good. The pedicure was horrible also. Didn’t even scrub my feet with a pumice stone. They literally scrubbed my legs and feet with something and was on to painting my toes two minutes after she started. To top it off, my nail polish on my toes started peeling the same day I got my pedicure and they automatically think they deserve tips. Nearly chased a customer who was leaving while screaming she didn’t leave a tip. SMH. Unprofessional and overpriced

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueLove love love Maxy Nails! Been going here with my mom and sister for the last 15 years. I moved to LA a few years ago and not a nail salon in LA compares to the high quality of work at Maxy Nails. Nails always look fab, last forever, and the massages are top notch. Super friendly, warm staff that make you feel at home. Highly recommend.Services: Pedicure, Manicure, Facial treatments, Gel manicuresLove love love Maxy Nails! $40 pedicure turned into $57 They charge for every little thing like the bottle of water they leave at your chair & say this is for you. Any callus removal is extra. I’m so sick of being nickel & dimed for a service that should include these things. Never going back!!! Pedicure

I got my nails done recently, gel mani and within 2 hours a nail pealed off… went back they fixed it…. Next day another pealed off, went back they fixed, following day two pealed off. I refuse to go back a third time. Never again! It was my first time trying this place, I’m new to the area. Pedicure, Manicure

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Valuethe woman who helped me was nice however she did not do her job properly. I asked to soak off my acrylics and she proceeded to use a metro card to try and take off my nails. She did it about three times until she finally just used a nail drill to grind away at the acrylic. After all this I still have acrylic on my nails. I also asked for a manicure and at the end I had paint on my fingers. She removed all she could but I can still see some flaws.Service: Manicurethe woman who helped me was nice however she did not do her job properly. The lady/ladies that help me were very pleasant and very sweet but the quality and price was ridiculous. My normal place charges $50 for full set of acrylics. Since they had no availability I decided to try a different place not even thinking it would be a major difference in price if any. While doing my nails the lady said my nails would be $70!!!! No additional design or anything. I was so shocked that it was $20 more!!!! I wouldn’t mind but my nails normally last a weeks. After only one week they are chipping and peeling for a more expensive price. Then the nail tech said she would only charge me $50 for a fill in, in two week. I pay $35 every 4 weeks cause that’s how long my nails last at my other nail place. I normally go to Best Nails In North Babylon and they are much better!!! I will never be returning to get my nails done here. It’s a rip off. Not to mention since I got acrylics there is a major dent in one. I wouldn’t mind again except the price for a bad job.

Critical: ProfessionalismI used to love Maxy Nails for the jelly pedicures but this week, I had such a horrible experience, I will no longer go back. I asked for a jelly pedicure and manicure. During my pedicure, another customer walked in and my technician spoke to her and let her know to take a seat and she’ll be with her soon. Because of that, they gave me someone else for my nails which I don’t love but didn’t have a choice. When I sat down to get my nails done, I noticed a sign that said no tip on card, must be in cash. From here, I panicked a bit because I only had 9$ and I would have given it ALL to the one technician if they didn’t split me up. At the end of my appointment, I gave the woman who did my pedicure the 5 dollar bill as she did a wonderful job, massage, the whole 9 and the rest of my money to my nail tech (4$). Now I normally tip much higher than this but it was technically 15%. It was all I had. When I gave it to her, she TOOK IT FROM ME AND COUNTED IT OUT AT THE TABLE IN FRONT OF ME. she pointed 1-2-3-4? I thought maybe she wasn’t sure what it was so I explained, that’s for you. Is somethjng wrong? She said “NO, 5”. I said I’m sorry it’s all I have in cash. It says you don’t take tip on card right? To which she responded “mhm” and degraded me for the tip I gave her in front of all the customers. She then just starred at me and I began to feel so uncomfortable. I just put my head down and continued to grab my belongings. Then before I got up from her station, she goes “PEDICURE?” And started calling the technician over. I’m told her “ I know …I have a tip for her too, thank you?” It was almost like she thought I wasn’t going to tip her or that she was annoyed she was getting a tip? She rushed to follow me (I mean I tried to get out of there fast and she was still on me) over to her and watched me give her the $5. The pedicure technician just said thank you while the nail technician continued to grill me. I turned around and just said “I’m sorry but this is VERY RUDE OF YOU” and walked out completely embarrassed. I never had anyone count their tip in front of me, let alone tell me (and others around me) that I’m wrong and that she needs more money. I called the manager 10 mins later because I couldn’t shake the feeling and the manager said “what do you want me to do?” And hung up after I told her how embarrassed and uncomfortable I am now coming there. “I’ll talk to her, bye!”Once I got home, I hand sanitized and it burned so bad. I then realized I had 5 fingers all cut up at the cuticle. So disappointed in the experience.Services: Pedicure, Gel manicuresI used to love Maxy Nails for the jelly pedicures but this week, I had such a horrible experience, I will no longer go back. First time customer. I was greeted very quickly. Everyone was so friendly. The pedicure that I had was called Jelly. Omg. The best pedicure that I have had in many years. I will definitely go back for other services. You can’t always find a really good nail salon but so far, this was awesome!!

I’m only giving it one star because no stars wasn’t an option! Went to get my nails done with my daughter and the prices weren’t listed any where! A lot of confusion on how much services cost and the icing on the cake was that they wanted to change my daughter an extra $5 to remove her polish! What? I never heard of that! Prices were way to high and I really felt like they were taking advantage of me! Sad, unprofessional and and a rip off! If you must go there get prices before you sit down!
