I couldn’t have been happier with my experience with MaxCharles salon! I hired MaxCharles for my wedding hair and makeup completely sight unseen (based on website reviews). I live out of state (NJ) and was not even able to do my hair and makeup trial until the Wednesday night before my Saturday wedding. I was definitely nervous but Lindsey (and later Kat) did a great job working with me. While Lindsey gave me some suggestions and pointers, she also listened to me and what I wanted. I’m not ‘trendy’ so I was worried that I would be talked into a hairstyle that I just would not feel comfortable with. Fortunately, the team was great and I never felt any sort of pressure to have my hair/makeup in a way I did not want. Not only that, but they completely helped me out with dealing with my very opinionated mother who has a completely different taste in hairstyles than myself! I would 100% recommend MaxCharles and they set such a pleasant tone for the rest of a wonderful wedding day!

What is there to say about Missi? She is a true professional and artist in her craft. She really knows a lot about hair. I see her for my men’s haircut, and what i like most is she listens to me and provides the cut that looks great each and every time. I have been going to MaxCharles for several years now to get my hair done on a routine basis. I’ve grown to really love and adore Missi and her team – so much so that I booked Missi and Chloi for hair and makeup at my December 2020 wedding! I had a wonderful hair and makeup trial, and I knew if that appointment was amazing that my wedding day would be even better. Missi and Chloi were punctual, professional, and took all precautions possible on my wedding day to ensure that me, my bridesmaids, and my mother/mother-in-law felt safe and comfortable. Missi was outstanding in doing hair for me and my girls, and Chloi was a master at our makeup application. I could not have been happier! My favorite thing about going to MaxCharles is the cozy, friendly atmosphere. Most often the whole salon is abuzz with laughter and singing, patrons & stylists together. On top of that, I get compliments on my hair regularly, the highlights look natural and the style/cut perfect for me. People often say it’s hard to find a hairdresser who is “the one” – now that I’ve found mine, I will never leave. I love you MaxCharles!

They make sure they have it on point without damaging hair. I knew Missy from previous work and returned to her (which I should have done a long time ago), and the last two appointments I saw Lindsey, who did a GLORIOUS job transforming my hair. She took me from brown with medium blonde highlights and a long root to stunning, white, platinum blonde with a gorgeous shadow root. I have hair that’s hard to break through but Lindsey did it and it still feels soft! Truly a genius! Another woman left saying her hair felt like butter!The stylists here are all extremely supportive of each other and not at all territorial. The atmosphere is gorgeous, too, very modern and artsy with just fantastic energy. Cat saved my hair! I had a gorgeous red and orange fashion color, but it faded into the most unflattering shade my hair could ever be. I wanted a fresh start and to return back to something close to my natural shade, but I didn’t have high hopes because of the state my hair was in. Cat seriously worked a miracle on me and my hair turned out even better than any of the photos I showed her! Her attention to detail and obvious passion for her craft was apparent throughout my whole service. This is the best haircut I’ve ever had, and my hair feels amazing! Go see Cat!!
