I’ve been going to Becky for a few years now and I was so excited for her when she opened her own salon! I won’t let anyone else even come near my hair after meeting her. She was somehow able to fix a mullet/botched super short cut (think Willy Wonka/Joe Dirt, etc.) a few years ago and I was absolutely amazed she could salvage anything. I was a lifer after that! Everyone always asks me where I get my hair done, and the technique she uses when she cuts and colors grows out perfectly even if I wait awhile to go back in! Actually, for what it’s worth, I went a whole deployment between appointments and it grew out perfect! Every time I have an appointment, she takes her time and makes everyone in her salon feel like family. The other stylists are all so sweet and you can tell that they take pride in their work and really care about their clients. Trust me y’all, this place is 100% worth the wait and I drive almost an hour to see her!

MAVI salon and the stylist are the definition of perfection when it comes to haircare.The atmosphere is relaxing and on point. I can’t speak highly enough of this salon. I’ve been getting more compliments on my hair color and health since day one with them. Chrissy is absolutely amazing, my girl knows her stuff and my hair ALWAYS turn out great. All the stylists there take their time to make sure they understand what their client needs and wants done. Y’all I’m hooked.

WOW! Mavi is the best hair salon in Surf City hands down! I was referred to the owner, Becky Sinclair, through a mutual friend 14 years ago when she was in a salon in Jacksonville. I had been searching high and low for years to find a talented master stylist and man did I hit the lottery when I found her! At the time I was living on the Island in Surf City, but have since moved twice, now residing in Wilmington. I now drive over an hour to see Becky every other month and she is completely worth every single mile! I go in looking like I rolled out of a coma and leave her salon looking like Gisele 🙂

I recently moved to the area, and this was my first time visiting this salon and it is very modern and beautiful inside. Everyone is super friendly and it creates a comfortable, welcoming environment. Mary Beth did my balayage and hair cut today and it turned out gorgeous and is exactly what I wanted. She was extremely personable and it made the three hours I was there fly by. I would highly recommend making an appointment with her.

I had a much anticipated appointment with Mikayla a few weeks ago and I got a text saying my appointment had been cancelled. Rather than calling me to explain, I had to call them. They said she moved, which come to find out was a flat out lie! She’s still in town but has a new salon at: 13741 NC-50 unit B (it’s basically across the street).
