Done today pay 160 gave 10 dollar tip, attempted to contact owner no response. My heart is so broken its the poor black woman who saves up her money and the working black woman that supports these African Braiding professionals and they treat us like trash. This is what I call Botched braids that I am stuck with. I risk my health and waisted my money for this, I’m not African and don’t speak the land of the language they come from so they don’t care. I GIVE UP, I guess they will always be that way to the ones that support them the most. This was just done today 10/24/2021

I called requesting a walk-in and originally asked for knotless braids the owner said yes. When I arrived, she noticed that I had hair loss on the crown of my head so hats why I wanted that particular style because my previous style crested so much tension so it caused the bald spot. I asked the owner to braid around the spot then put it in a ponytail and I even showed a picture of how I wanted the eye but she refused to give me the knotless braids I wanted and insisted on traditional knotless braids, red flag #1. Then she proceeds to ridicule me for asking for that style and she has a very nasty attitude. About half way through my hair, she left and made her daughter take over and then I noticed that she was braiding it so tight that my head began to throb. My hair was already fragile and damaged from the previous traumatic hairstyle and I decided to speak up and let her know that she was going too tight. She was nice enough to redo them but the owner came back and shouted at me for asking her to take it easy. She was very disrespectful and said “You made her take out three braids and you complain too much ,your hair is short and it’s going to come out so it’s going to hurt you and this is why we don’t take people at night” completely disregarding and invalidating my concerns and she GASLIGHTED ME. About a month later, I took down the braids and noticed that my edges started to thin out and I began losing them even AFTER I told them not to braid my edges.THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I WANTED KNOTLESS BRAIDS BECAUSE I WANTED TO AVOID THE TENSION THAT CAUSED MY HAIR LOSS IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!! I just wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt in spite of the negative reviews hoping for the best but WRONG!! My heart hurts for those poor costumers who also had to go through this. Unless you want to lose your hair and/or edges, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, PunctualityThis shop is very messy and the bathroom had a really bad odor. Matou another lady there were very unprofessional and inconsiderate of my time. The lady who was supposed to braid my hair said she had to leave out for 5 minutes, but was gone for 25 minutes while I just sat there. Then when she came back, she tried to overcharge me for the service that I asked for. So I left. I do not recommend this shop!!!This shop is very messy and the bathroom had a really bad odor. This shop is very messy and the bathroom had a really bad odor. Matou another lady there were very unprofessional and inconsiderate of my time. The lady who was supposed to braid my hair said she had to leave out for 5 minutes, but was gone for 25 minutes while I just sat there. While the braiding was great, the cleanliness and etiquette is a mess. I don’t know if it’s a cultural thing, but it’s quite rude for the stylist to be yelling in your ear while they’re talking on the phone or next to another stylist. I got a slight headache from that alone. It’s make the experience not enjoyable that much more. The shop is unkempt as well. They should get that together. And for some reason, on this particular day, there were only 2 stylists. Needless to say, customer service was good. They weren’t rude like the other braiding salons out there.

i had a HORRIBLE experience here. Horrible customer service. Took forever to do my hair for a style that messed up two days later. I had to go to the shop 3 times because no one offered to fix it and i did not want to waste money. when i finally got them done she kept saying i went swimming which is why my hair messed up (i did not). when she finally fixed my hair, she braided it so tight that my scalp had a few red welts and my hair fell out! was extremely sore to even put into a ponytail. have gotten my hair done plenty of times by the africans and NEVER has my hair been sore or falling out afterward. The place is very dirty and the ladies have horrible customer service! Will NEVER be going back.
