I am not one to post bad reviews unless there are repeated issues that I feel I should warn others about. There’s numerous massage places in Michigan and definitely Ann Arbor and I would say it’s best to consider those and never step a foot in here. This place has been such a scam. I had a family plan active that I called to cancel. I had been charged $20 each month for 3 months although I had requested cancellation. I was told over phone that I would be refunded the money as a courtesy and that my account has been successfully closed without needing any further action. I was never refunded and imagine my surprise when I continued to get charged the next month. I call them again, am told they have no record of my request and that they cannot refund my money. I had not used a single service during this time. They then said I needed to sign a form and emailed it to me— a form they never sent before. The manager Lexi says she spoke with owner who did not feel returning my money back to me was the right thing to do. Instead, they pocketed my money and refunded $20 that they charged me recently “as a courtesy”. I see others have had similar issues with this company. If you want to comment your circumstances/story on this review, we can pursue legal action for this.

Grennan was a great massage therapist. He was friendly and skilled. I was unsure about having a male massage therapist, but wouldn’t hesitate to schedule with him again. Highly recommend. Management seems to be a bit more understanding now. I wanted a facial and a massage back to back, but I had to get dressed and change rooms in between, which just kind took me out of my relaxation mode.

They are short staffed for facials and have very few appointments available. They cancel appointments often. Don’t get the membership!! It is a scam and a waste of money. When you want to talk to a manager, no one returns your call. I have used spas my whole life. Love it! Worst experience I have ever had.

HORRIBLE MASSAGE. Very rude manager named Stephanie. I would give this place ZERO stars if possible! Worse massage I have ever had in the past 20 years and worst management ever! My massage therapist, who was a guy, did not know what he was doing. It seemed like he was new. It was not relaxing and did not work my muscles at all. I complained to the Stephanie and she did nothing but blame me for the horrible massage. She did not even apologize for the bad experience or have any empathy whatsoever. She was so rude and I will never go back there again.

I have been a loyal member of MassageLuxe’s recurring membership since at least 2019 (but I think before that). Today my appointment was scheduled to start at the top of the hour. Around 15 minutes after the start time I went back out to the lobby to ask if my therapist knew that I was there because I was the only one still in the sitting area. The woman said that she would go back and speak with my therapist. At the time that I checked in it was not communicated with me that he was running behind. If it had been then I would have had a different frame of mind.

Be sure to read the fine print when signing up for any membership here. When they sell you the deal they make it sound great ‘cancel any time and you keep the massages’. Lo and behold I did not realize they had a credit that I had replaced and as a result I lose massages that have already been paid for.
