This place leaves me super relaxed. Admittedly sometimes I come here twice a week to see my favorite therapist Ohn. Her flow + her knowledge of the body is amazing and I can’t even see anyone else because she’s so great! I have also seen Naomi who has a great flow and harder pressure. Either way this is my favorite place 🙂

Great for last-minute can-you-make-my-neck-bend-normally-again therapy. A no-frills and reasonably priced experience; however, there’s a caveat: If you’re on a budget and attracted by the low price of the massage, be forewarned that the $47 price doesn’t include a tip. Prepare yourself for the sign inside each massage room, signed by your massage therapist, pleading for a $20 to $30 tip because the low massage price means they are underpaid. Now you know.

Tip Nazis Had a horrible massage from an extremely aggressive worker who cheated me out of 7 of the 60 minutes I had paid for. I felt absolutely NO obligation to tip, for a painful experience and for being stolen from. The receptionist informed me that “word gets around” about customers who don’t choose to leave a tip. The funny thing is that up until that event, I had always tipped. After investigating, I found that according to several reviews, if you’re not tipping 33-50%, you many be blackballed or they will try to charge you $70 for the $49 massage advertised. No only will I not be bullied into giving more $ when I pay for a service, but I have NO problem filing complaints w the BBB, State of California and other relevant consumer protection entities. MP might try instructing their workers to earn tips by providing excellent service, instead of bullying people. And really, having a more professional staff who don’t gossip about and retaliate against customers would be a welcome improvement.

Lotus is one of those massage therapists who has a spidey sense of exactly where your body needs relief. I’ll get pains from time to time after weightlifting, but always leave refreshed after an hour-long massage with Lotus. It’s a no-frills place, so you’re not paying for plush amenities like lavender towels and cucumber water. Try to unplug for 15 minutes or so before your session to help ease yourself into total bliss.

This place is whack. Great massage but asking for 35%-70% tip is ridiculous. The therapists post signs in the room and say if you want to reschedule with them and come back, that’s the rate to pay.
