The staff was very friendly and transparent about the policies and procedures. The membership is a great deal for those who want to take care of their skin seriously. I’ve been a member since January 13, 2014! I’m so frustrated with the whole organization I know the owner has Ventura and Oxnard locations! To book a massage is 3 weeks away every time! Now they just called my husband to say someone cancelled there was a 1:15 available. He told me and said yes they hung up on him. I called back and they gave it to someone else. I currently have 9 credits! Totally need better managing. I asked to have manager to call me we will see how long that takes. So disappointing

I was a member for over 4 years of massage envy in Ventura. I found it almost impossible to get the same massage therapist twice. The hours that they worked never coincide with mine or if they did they were fully booked up. The automatic billing was difficult to understand in addition I was extremely dissatisfied wanted to quit and was told I had to wait to the maturity date Which meant 7 months being completely dissatisfied with their service before I could quit. The plus side is it is beautiful well maintained facility.

She said no. I asked if there was a manager to help her fix the printer. She said no. I asked if she tried turning the printer off and on. She said she already told me what she was capable of doing only emailing receipt. I asked so you are incapable of turning on and off the printer. She said yes. I asked do you mind if I check your printer? She said I couldn’t go back there. I gave her my email and had to repeat again slowly. Do not get massaged here. I will never have a subscription here again. My friends told me not to, but I didn’t listen. The manager is ultimately responsible for how things are handled but I can’t get one to call me back. So many appointments cancelled on ME part, so many re-schedule day of that I stopped counting. Then I cancelled and they over charged me by two months, just called to use my last pre-paid massage and apparently you have to use it within 60 days; no one told me that ever. The worst. Please do yourself a favor and call a local therapist and pay the extra $20 – it’s worth it. Save yourself.

After bring a member since 2006 and hitting almost 50 different Massage Envies in almost all 50 States Ventura’s Massage Envy by far a 1 star rating a first for me. I made an appointment more than 2 weeks out for a 1.5 hour Massage followed by a 1 hour facial. I received a phone message left on my cell phone two days before my appointment, cancelling my massage appointment. I didn’t receive that message until the day before my appointment, when I also received a reminder phone call confirming both appointments. I called in only to be told sorry, but no therapist to replace the one that canceled. I work full time and I planned far enough out to enjoy a relaxing massage. In the eleven years I have been a Member, I have never been cancelled. It might be time to end my membership.

I registered for almost a year, I decided to momentarily freeze my account because of heavy travelling. I had two massages on my favour in my account, no one told me they would expire in about a month. I went ahead and booked a massage, they told me that they had expired just a few days earlier and that nothing could be done. I don’t think that is fair since those massages were paid. I won’t renew my account with them again.

Massage Envy has this rule when making an appointment, you must give a credit card number incase you cancel your appointment. You have to give them 24 hours notice a head of time. If you don’t give them 24 hours notice, they will charge you half price of the visit. I was very disappointed when I heard my phone ringing 30 minutes before my appointment saying that they had to cancel it because one of the therapists was sick. It is very unfair that they can take money from customers for not notifying them before 24 hours but they can do that to us. Unfortunately, I had a gift card that had to be used or I wouldn’t get my money back. I would not recommend going there. They were very one-sided and seemed to have an excuse for everything.

I have been a ME member for 10 years. I visit Ventura regularly to see my mom. The last three visits I have made multiple phone calls each time and left messages. No one calls back and I have not been able to set up massages. As a result I have 18 available but never get to use them.
