I have a really deep knot that’s pinching a nerve and causing shoulder pain. My friend got me a gift card to this place, so I thought I’d give it a try. I asked for a deep tissue massage and they booked me 1 month out. That’s fine, as long as I can get a good massage. On my appointment day, the power went out so they had to reschedule me (no fault of their own). When they rescheduled me, they scheduled me for the next day. I made it clear I wanted a deep massage and I even confirmed with the receptionist before I booked my reschedule saying “This is for a deep massage right?”

I would not recommend this this company, at the very least not the Orem location, to anyone. I’ve never been more disappointed by massages in my life. I got a membership, had three massages praying it would get better, but it never really did. One individual literally felt like they were massaging me with sandpaper, their fingers were so coarse. Also, when I’ve gone, there hasn’t been any music playing as is pretty standard with massage therapy. Instead, what you get to listen to is the heavy breathing of the person giving you a massage and a loud, distracting fan. Not relaxing at all.

After calling pretty much every location in Utah, we finally got a hold of the Orem location, they said they were booked months out for a couples massage, so I booked it, when we show up to the appointment they said they couldn’t do our massages because one of the couples therapists just moved. We didn’t get a call a text or anything. Then we said it was fine to just reschedule us as soon as they could, which was 2 months out and they said we could no longer do a couples massage but could get in at the same time?? Then the DAY before our appointments we get a call saying my husbands appointment was canceled because the therapist got injured. They have not once offered a refund, a gift card, compensation, NOTHING. She continued to tell me their next soonest appointments were another month out, so this has now been 6 months of trying to get our massages. At this point I’m expecting them to go out of business. TERRIBLE experience, which is sad I use to love massage envy, and now anywhere is better.

I’ve never been treated so poorly by a manager in my life. Twice these guys messed up my appointments. Both times they just said “whoops, sorry” even though both me and my boyfriend took the whole afternoon off and got sitters so we could get massages. The manager, Alisha Bray, said to me “We only make it right to people we like.” And then hung up on me.

Super annoyed I drove 30 minutes for an appointment I waited two months for only to be told that it’s canceled because the therapist doesn’t work nights anymore. Well you definitely could have let me know a long time ago. I even got a confirmation text the day before. What a waste of time and waste of a babysitter.

I had a massage by Ryan and it was fantastic! He communicated really well with me and adjusted pressure when I asked. The facility was clean and the table was warm and comforfable. It was a little tricky to book but I understand it is due to worker shortage during these difficult times.

Never ever ever will I ever recommend Massage Envy to anyone. I gifted my husband a membership last year for Christmas. He is frequently trying to get an appointment and despite them being open until 10 pm they never have evening appointments available. The last time he called to book an appointment they were booked out a month. A month!! Completely unacceptable for a place that only does massages. So now we go to cancel his membership and he will have 9 credits that he has to use within 60 days of cancellation…how does that even happen when they can’t even get him in once! Their solution?? Sell his credits to 9 different people and pay a $10 transfer fee per credit. So be out $90 more because they can’t provide the service they are charging customers for. Completely unacceptable!

My favorites are Shelby, Kaden, and Ryan, though I’ve heard that Stephanie and Moray (spelling?) are great, too.The front desk folks are always really nice as well, and I’m usually able to book a massage for when I want and with who I want. My favorites are Shelby, Kaden, and Ryan, though I’ve heard that Stephanie and Moray (spelling?) are great, too.
