So – I had a deep tissue massage 10 days ago with David and that was great – no issues whatsoever. At that time I booked a 4:00 p.m. for today. I called this morning to see if they might have an earlier opening today and was told that they did. Great. Oh wait – then I was told that if they could fill my 4:00 appointment with someone else I would be charged a 50% fee for that slot and if they couldn’t I would be charged 100%. So I’d be paying 100% for the earlier VACANT slot plus AT LEAST 50% for the 4:00 p.m. According to Alena, this is their policy That is unconscionable!!

Too many rules. No 2 hours or 90 minutes available, even if you have credits they won’t allow you to book sooner than 2 weeks from your last appt, there’s an upcharge for a massage even if you have a membership. No heat on the tables, even though other locations in SAT have heat. The therapist was great but with the amount of red tape here it’s not worth it.

I’ve had a membership for about a year now. I usually try to book with Jesse because he’s one of the best! He is usually booked for 4 weeks in advance! So today I was scheduled with Felicia! All I got to say is WOW!!! Todays massage was one of the best I’ve ever had! I now will be scheduling with both of them! I’m still so relaxed too!

Not a great experience from the start. I gave the receptionist my name and appointment time and she gives me this look like I didn’t belong there. Then proceeds to ask for my ID. I’ve had a membership with ME since 2017 and other than starting my initial paperwork, I have never had to show ID. Is somebody really going to somehow steal my information to go get a free massage? Then to the actual massage. I told her my lower back was bothering my and it was difficult to twist to my left. She even repeated I back to me saying she would have to work on my glutes too help with lower back pain. I said yes, as that is what usually happens. Once the massage started, all that was worked on was my upper back and shoulders. She kind of went to the middle of my back for a couple minutes but that was it. For the price that it costs to get a massage these days, the customer should really expect more. I’ve read the reviews and it seams most of the good 5 stars are for the same few massage therapists. But I will not be booking at this location again. This is the second bad massage I’ve had here. And they only offer 60 minute massages. Just altogether a bad experience.

The Massage Envy front desk team is amazing. They make you feel welcome! The teams customer service is impeccable! Jessie is an amazing massage therapist. He is very professional! He is very in tune with the body and know where the pressure points are located. I highly recommend him without any reservations. I walk away each time from my massage relaxed and feeling 100 percent better! I honestly would schedule an appointment with him every week if his calendar was open. I have had chronic back problems for years. My former massage therapist retired. I have looked extensively for a new one. I am extremely grateful I found Massage Envy and Jessie. Thank you!

I have a Massage Envy membership and called this location to schedule appointments for my daughter and myself. I was curtly told by Carrie who answered the phone that I was bothering her by calling “at the top of the hour.” After attempting again to get our appointments scheduled, she proceeded to tell me that “maybe this wasn’t the best location for me” as she could not pull up my daughter’s membership information and I was trying to clarify the information. I spoke with the manager and while trying to explain the situation to him, I received a notification that she had taken the liberty to cancel my appointment. The manager did not seem the least bit concerned about the absolute poor customer service given by his employee and was told that he does not need my business either. I have visited multiple Massage Envy’s in other states and can absolutely say that this is the worst location with such poor management and customer service. I would absolutely not recommend this location to anyone.

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityOnce I got over the hump about leaving a card on file, I set an appointment and David my massage therapist was amazing!He had strong hands so he could apply deep tissue technique to as light as you need it to your comfort. He listened and understood what I was needing from the visit. And even though he told me he might not be able to get to all muscle groups he focused in on the ones that were most important to me. I am currently going to physical therapy for frozen shoulder. The massage of the back of my shoulder gave me more range of motion.I can’t wait for my next massage!
