Massage envy in Federal Way is fantastic. They have the best customer service. I recently canceled my membership with them, just because it is/was hard to find appointments really at any of the locations. Their membership is worth it especially if you only go once or twice a month. They have great enhancement add ons as well. I’ve tried the muscle therapy, CBD oil and the CyMe boosts, all great additions to a massage. The CBD is by far my favorite and I definitely think it works to really relax you. I have not yet done a facial here, but that is due to personal reasons. But I highly recommend if you can ever get into the massage envy federal way location you check them out. GREAT front desk service, so helpful and the massage therapist are also very wonderful. I’ve yet to have a bad experience here!

I personally have availed Massage and Facial services here. They do a nice job and I am satisfied with their service. I’d give a 5 if not for massage where they do not target the whole body for a full 60-minute massage. They target the problem areas after consulting you which is great, but would be an overall great experience if they give a general full body massage too. Their membership option is good and even if you tend to miss a month’s appointment, they accommodate it for you (not many places do that). Their facial services are also must try. I personally felt pampered and my skin looks better just after the first session.

I’ve been coming here for over a year and consistently get very good massages. I’ve had 5 or 6 different masseuses, all women, and I only disliked one of them. Two of them, one named Ashley, knows about my back issues and always leaves me refreshed. The other lady, her name escapes me, is also very good. She’s a bit chatty, but I enjoy conversation. The others were very average, not good or bad. I pay $60 a month and typically tip 20%. I’m unsure of the quality behind their other services, but the membership prices here is pretty fair.

They short you on your time, start late and finish early. Rooms are small, claustrophobic and feel dirty. The couples room is the size a non-couple room should be. If you have already paid for a massage and don’t show up they charge you a 2nd time, so you double pay $120 for a massage you never receive. I can see perhaps loosing the prepaid massage, but to charge you again? Very unethical and rude owner and managers. Don’t get locked into a contract with them, they’ll never let you out and will auto renew taking your money as long as you can without refund. They won’t even cancel it if the contract is up and you notify them. You have to physically go into their office and fill out paper if you want to cancel. They want your money and could care less about customer satisfaction and providing a fair service. Avoid this place!!

I purchased a 6 month massage package for my girlfriend. That was a mistake. Apparently when you sign up, you are signing up an automatic renewal. If you don’t catch it, well…tough luck. I spoke with a nice lady that was willing to meet me half way which was 5 months. So half way at $60 a month equals $300. That means I went over by 10 months or $600. That’s a hell of a package! On top of that, the front desk people, per the company’s admission, are supposed to inform you of this automatic renewal. They didn’t do that for me. Mistakes happen, I get that. Then they should make it right by refunding me the money. I even asked if others had this issue and I was told that they did. So I’m not alone in this. Also, you can’t cancel unless you send them a cancellation form. Luckily for me the lady that helped me was willing to cancel my “contract” on the phone. So why wasn’t that done before hand? I live out of state now (I did inform them of on my initial call) so I am thankful for that. So, seeing that others had this issue and the fact that the company was willing to refund me $300, and the fact that front desk personnel are supposed to be trained to inform perspective customers about this, well, this tells me some things:

Massage was good – and were able to schedule an appointment with short notice. They asked if I’d like to pay before the massage… which was fine, but it included gratuity (which of course they had a print-out of suggested amounts). Seemed a little odd as that diminishes any real incentive for the therapist to do an above-average job. There was a male receptionist that kept banging things in the lobby and due to either the volume of his voice and/or lack of sound dampening between rooms, I could hear him talking throughout the massage. It kind of ruined the experience. Rates seem to drastically increase after first massage if you don’t become a member. Leaving gratuity at the end (if you pay by credit card) is verbally communicated to the receptionist for all to hear vs. writing on the receipt. My guess is this is intentional.
