Very disappointing massage. I will say that the ladies at the front were very nice and courteous, and the masseuse was nice as a person but needs to find another occupation. She clearly did not want to be there and unfortunately I received a terrible massage that I paid substantially for. I seriously wonder if she is even formally trained. There was no technique whatsoever and no consistency in working an area. She would spend a very long time on one spot barely doing anything. It felt like someone was just rubbing lotion on me without any sort of method. I had requested medium pressure, not soft. And she did 80% of the massage with only one hand. I scheduled a 90 minute massage and only received 60 minutes of actual massage time. And it got worse and worse as it went on. The last 10 minutes were spent with one finger on one spot of my neck, and occasionally she would stop moving altogether to the point where I wondered if she had fallen asleep! When she finished she told me to hang a right out the door to exit. No offer of water, no walking me out. It was all very awful and I actually felt more stressed coming out than I did going in. If they didn’t already have my credit card number I wouldn’t have paid as much as I did! I have had many many massages in my life and this was unfortunately the worst. I hope that maybe she was just having a bad day, but if that’s the case, then don’t be at work rubbing your negative energy off on people looking for relaxation.

I called to reschedule my appointment because I woke up with a headache, fever, sore throat, cough. When I called to RESCHEDULE Deanna quickly told me that it would be a cancellation charge in the amount of half the service. I explained how I was feeling her only response was that it was policy, so I stated that they would prefer me come in sick? She only stated that it was company policy to charge a fee. I had a gift card, I told her to gift the remaining amount to my massage therapist (who is really good!) after charging their $57.00 cancellation fee, since that what their main concern, that the therapist gets his pay. My main point is that Massage Envy does not currently offer a exception to policy due to COVID. They could allow/offer a one-time reschedule, then maybe a fee after the one time. What if my therapist called in sick and had to cancel on me (I do not switch therapist)? Would I have been offered an inconvenience fee? I was not trying to cancel, I wanted and needed a massage, I only wanted to reschedule. Due to their inflexibility in policy Massage Envy lost a customer today.

I don’t get massages often, but paid for a 90 minute massage session with Cinder. She did great work communicating and working with two injuries I have. The staff was helpful and polite as well. Plan on going again during my visit.

My 1st time at Massage Envy and I scheduled an appointment for a firm massage. I was booked with Cinder. I check in as instructed; but, when we got to the room she immediately asked me what type of pressure I was looking for. Mind you my appt profile already stated firm. She the told me she is only capable of doing medium pressure b/c of an injury. I sympathize with her injury if that is the case, but they called me to verify the appt and should have told me of Cinder’s limitations. Maybe Cinder had other issues about why she would not do my massage. I left and will never return. I will be sure to share the experience with my clients. Shame on you for poor service.

I purchased a year of massages for my aunt. The receptionist was very knowledgeable and assured my aunt that she will feel so much better and relaxed. She explained the different options available and how to schedule and made her feel very comfortable and at ease. The entrance was well stocked with face and health items that you can purchase. Every questions we had was answered and explained. She will have a great time there.

I took out a year membership and was happy with my services during the year. However upon the end of the year I went in to discontinue the automatic renewal of membership. The manager at the time explained I still had some services due and they would “freeze my account” with the understanding that the membership would cancel at the end of the “freeze period”. The freeze period wAs to “preserve my services owed to me”. I made it clear I wanted no further membership. This began October 2018. Unbeknownst to me membership payments began again in May 2019. Once discovered in October 2019 that payments were being withheld I contacted ME to rectify the situation. They were non responsive. No return phone call. Since I was out of town I waited until I returned home. I was told I had to go into ME to handle the situation. I went into the office and talked with a representative. I was credited back 3 of 6 months payments with no clear explanation as to why not all 6 mos. I was told a manager would call me the following week to discuss. Again ME was non responsive. That was over two weeks ago. I made a follow up call last week and had to leave yet another message. I have always called during “open hours”. And yet again no return call received from ME. This has been extremely disappointing. I am now at the point where I will have to return to their office to try and resolve the situation since they do not call their customers. I will present them will my hourly rate bill where they will owe me more for my time resolving this situation that had they just resolved it at the outset. I would definitely not recommend taking out a membership with this company. There business ethics are severely lacking.
