When I walked in I had thrown my back out and still couldn’t stand up straight. A few weeks later and I feel like I’m half my age again! Worth the membership.

I received a call at 2:45 canceling it because my esthetician could not make my 6:00 appointment. She had to pick up her child from daycare.

Critical: QualityIf you are considering a membership to this massage envy….DON’T! I never write or complain. I am very, very disappointed! I have been disappointed for the last 6 months so I am now writing. I do not define a massage as “rubbing lotion” around in a slow motion as a massage. I have been through most of the massage therapists here and most are less than mediocre but definitely not anywhere close to massage envy standards. Some therapists here should be fired, period. They waste more time arranging the sheets than they do actually massaging. A massage is rubbing the muscles, not holding a spot for five minutes that does nothing and then rubbing on some more lotion. Since I travel, I have loved Massage Envy in knowing I can get a good reliable massage in most cities. Somehow Bluffton is clueless about ensuring massage envy standards. There are two truly qualified massage therapists…Glenn and Arkeem. These two are great massage therapists!!!! Glenn is exceptional. When I call to get appointments with them, they are booked three months out so I have tried several others. The massage therapists that claim to be “deep tissue” need to actually get a true deep tissue massage so they understand what it means.I scheduled a deep tissue massage with a therapist I had not yet tried and after 30 min of rubbing lotion, I asked her about deep tissue. The therapist stated that it was not booked as a deep tissue massage. I had specifically asked for deep tissue. I then asked the front desk clerk and they said it certainly was supposed to be deep tissue. The massage therapist stated that they don”t get paid more and it takes more effort to do deep tissue. So this massage therapist just decided to rub lotion even though it was scheduled for a deep tissue massage???? And I am paying for a 90 minute massage in which there was no massage. I have had this happen several times here .so I am finally writing about it. My husband also joined and is so disappointed after three months he is cancelling his membership. There’s no quality control to ensure the employees are keeping up massage envy standards and giving a good massage. The front desk girls are not helpful. After traveling and getting massages elsewhere it made me realize how lousy most of the employees are at this Bluffton site. The front desk people at other massage envy places are wonderful and truly want to know if you are happy with your massage. The owner should be ashamed as there have been many complaints.and nothing is being done to change the pattern of lousy massages. I am seriously considering canceling my 9 year membership since I am not traveling as much.If you are considering a membership to this massage envy….DON’T! I never write or complain. Positive: CommunicationSarah is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I honestly never write reviews or anything like that unless it’s something that I think is really worth it. I had my daughter 3 months ago and my body has been so sore and my muscles have been so tight from my epidural. She literally made me feel like I have a new body after my massage she got all my knots out. I highly recommend her. I will definitely be coming back and getting a membership for my husband and I.Thank you Sarah!!!!!Sarah is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Critical: CommunicationI have a monthly membership to Massage Envy that I have had in place for maybe 7-8 years. In that time I have probably used the services 10 times, and I have not used the services at all since the pandemic started yet have paid every month. (Yes, a huge waste of money but that’s on me). Tonight, for the first time in perhaps 3 years, I had an appointment for a massage. I was not told when I made the appointment that a mask would be required. I walked in and was told I had to wear a mask. I have had Covid, I have been vaccinated….and you still expect me to wear a piece of paper over my mouth. I get massages to relax, and hindering my breathing is not relaxing. I just don’t do business with companies that have a mask mandate in place. I will be cancelling my subscription.I have a monthly membership to Massage Envy that I have had in place for maybe 7-8 years. Massage Envy is Bluffton is fabulous. I have been going there since they opened. I was seeing Alexis in the beginning and then for some reason started seeing Kathleen. Kathleen has moved to the Savannah spa only and I went back to Alexis. She has very strong hands and always makes me feel so much better. I have tried the hot stone, aromatherapy, and Swedish massage. Personally, I prefer the Swedish to the others.

I liked everything about going to Massage Envy. The front desk people were warm and friendly and very helpful. The location was luxurious. They had heated beds, heated rooms, adjustable music volume and lighting.

I absolutely love Massage Envy. I was reluctant at first to subscribe, but it has been wonderful! Of course the massages are amazing (Kathy!), but the front office staff are equally great. They recognize you when you come in, and that’s such a nice feeling. The entire atmosphere is very personal. I love that I get to experience such luxury each month!

I have been a monthly(at least) customer since Massage Envy Bluffton opened. I have been using a wonderful deep tissue massager for the past several years. She is the best!! I like going into the shop. All the receptionists know me and it feels like home. The spa is very clean and the appointments are very prompt. I also have occasional facials which are quite pleasant. Keep up the good work Massage Envy Bluffton.

My experience with Massage Envy Spa in Bluffton, SC was extraordinary. The front desk staff welcomed me as soon as I walked through the door with big smiles & sincere pleasant attitudes. Upon my departure the front desk staff also asked if I would like to make a future appointment and also informed me that I could rate their performance if I so chose. Again, the front desk staff was a pleasure to deal with.
