Horrible customer service, ATHENA is the worst. I started here last year. I was assured they would always be a female therapist as I made it very clear I would only be comfortable with a female therapist. On my 3rd schedule appointment I was called the night before at 8 pm and told the therapist I was scheduled with wouldn’t be there. I waited several weeks to be rescheduled and they never could get me scheduled.I took a doctors note stating I didn’t need massage therapy like they ask and because it wasn’t worded to ATHENAS standings it was refused. I then put my account on hold for six month as per the contract states you can. After the six months they automatically started charging my account. I called and was scheduled with a therapist and again was notified that she wouldn’t be there for my appointment. I then called and ask for a corporate phone number which they refused to give me. I then proceeded to call one of the Greenville office and spoke to a manager who stated I should file with the BBB because she was getting calls all then time about the Easley location for the same issues. She also stated that my doctors note should have been accepted. I filed a complaint to the BBB and of course Athena responded stating that I have paid for 3 visits. No ma’am I have paid for 4 total. She also stated that they put my account on hold for six months as a courtesy to help me. No ma’am that’s a part of the contract so you didn’t do any special favors for me. They refuse to accept my doctors note and cannot schedule me for weeks to months and when they do they cancel. I’m signed up for Easley because it’s close to my home not to go to multiple different locations to get what they assured me . They are refusing to end the contract and refund me. Good luck if you have to deal with ATHENA.
