This place is a joke. The massages and facial are basic at best. They nickel and dime you for everything. Pay a monthly fee to get a better deal but if you want to hold off one month and use the massages you have saved that will cost you more. Want to transfer to someone else (which they tell you and encourage you to do) will cost you more. And my favorite is asking for a tip before the service has even happened. Also their 60 min massages are really 40 mins at best.

If you want a real massage not just some lotion rubbed on. Ask for Devon, she always finds the right spot and applies just the right amount of pressure. The only negative for this location would be the waiting room.

Poor management practices. Contracts, pricing and policies change constantly. If you don’t use your monthly massages and they accrue, you will lose what you’ve paid for if you drop your membership. Gifting massages from membership is now very limited- where I once used my accrued massages as gifts for my staff, they began charging $10 to give them away, then limited the number each month, then limited to one gift per individual in 6months! Extremely aggravating, as I joined when the company opened in Ballantyne and the promise was that if I signed up right then, my price would not go up, which it did several times afterwards. That being said, the therapists are very good, but the turnover is high because they don’t get paid enough. I was finally able to cancel my membership and will never go back or recommend.

I’m a NC licensed massage therapist and massage envy is a really good company to work for. I have been with them for 9 years! Staff here are amazing as well as the massages I receive.

Critical: ProfessionalismOn 12/15 I called to cancel my sons 11am appointment for the facial I had scheduled. Since my son is under the age of 16 they require me go into the room with him. That morning I woke up around 10:15am after being up all night with a fever and called them immediately to cancel. I told them I was very sick (probably Covid) and I could not come in and they insisted on charging me for the spa service my son never received because they said I didn’t call 24hrs in advance. Obviously I didn’t call the day before because I was fine the day before, I started feeling sick late the night before the appointment. I would understand them charging me for the service if this is something I did on a regular basis but That is not the case. As a matter of fact I have only ever been there once for myself and I kept my appointment. I would never walk into a place of business and possibly infect everyone with Covid so I had to cancel. This is not good business and other potential customers should be aware of how incentive this establishment is and not to mention how sarcastically rude the employee was. I have also put in a BBB complaint. On 12/15 I called to cancel my sons 11am appointment for the facial I had scheduled. Since my son is under the age of 16 they require me go into the room with him. New client experience was pleasant. The gentleman who did my initial paperwork was very kind and thorough as we discussed my preferences. Tiffany is phenomenal! This was my first massage ever, and I was practically asleep on the table – it was warmed to perfection. Not a single complaint!

Massage was fine; not as good as the small business we went to when we were in Charlotte, but I would say 4 stars based on my husband’s feedback. However, we were double-billed. I bought a voucher for my husband for two massages the previous day, and the next day went he went in to redeem one, a charge hit my card for another massage, despite being assured that the two credits would show on my husband’s account and that it would be obvious they were to use those. No one ever told me during this that my card would be kept on file for this GIFT purchase, i.e. NOT MY OWN ACCOUNT, and therefore able to be charged AGAIN without my permission or knowledge. The gentleman that checked my husband out and realized the error at the time told him he would reverse the charge, but he did not.

Went in recently for a massage. Have had 6+ massages with Massage Envy and this experience was by far the worst.

Angela the massage therapist was excellent. Highly recommend her. Strong and effective massage, I felt great at the end. The price discourages me from making this a regular thing in my life but once in a while is good. A gratuity is expected at the end. They encourage you to tip $10, $15 or $20. I’m not a big fan of the concept of tipping. Put it in the price so the customer does not have the awkwardness of making that decision at the end.

I had been a very dedicated customer for almost 2 years until the last few massages I received just weren’t as expected.. My therapist, whom I finally decided to be the best fit (Doug) suddenly began ending the massages earlier and earlier, with the last being only 37 minutes! This was including the time it took to walk into the room & to get undressed and dressed again! As well, I looked at the same clock for the time (the one inside the room). I dont know if it is due to me adding an additional massage or not (I had an exceptionally stressful week and needed to treat myself a bit), but all massages should be the same, no matter how many you get in that month. I must wonder how many of the negative reviews are as a result of the same thing happening. I never said anything to the staff, but felt as though this was simply unacceptable! As for other therapists; I have seen a total of around 6 and have had all except 1 do the same (take me back late & stop short of the 50 minute mark), but never to this extreme, and the massages were just okay as some spent a lot of the time only using one hand or using techniques with light/almost tickling touches that take little energy..
