I visited the one on Virginia Beach Blvd. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and professional. The message started exactly on time and lasted an hour. It was very relaxing. I enjoyed my message very much. My message was a gift but I believe you have to have a membership to go there.

This particular massage envy seems to be constantly having issues. The massage therapist are great, but management and the front desk training seems to be lacking. I have purchased services and been told one thing, but then later find out that what I was told verbally isn’t actually what the service entails. I’ve had my massage therapist not show up that day and the front desk never called me and didn’t tell me upon check in. I’ve had the front desk staff tell me that they don’t know the answers to my questions and I’ll need to call back on a weekday to reach the manager. So during my work days I end up carving out time to repeatedly call massage envy. Scheduling appointments at this massage envy has ended up causing me significantly more stress than the massage itself relieves.

Clarence introduced himself, provided me very clear and concise instructions before leaving the room and allowing me to undress, he came back & got right to work without hesitation, he only spoke a few times checking to ensure that I was okay with the pressure and adjusted accordingly (which was great because I wanted a quiet session to relax), and at the end he asked if I was feeling better.
