Incredibly sad to be terminating my membership with this location after being a loyal customer for over 10 years. I’ve stood by this location through changes in management, fired therapists and the pandemic. I book my appointments months in advance — every other week at the same time. Occasionally the desired time is not available. That happened last week. I showed up at my regular 6pm only to be told I had missed my appointment for 5pm. The text reminder was accurate, and I did not read it, and that was my fault. In the approximately 300 previous appointments, this had never happened. I asked that I be shown the same loyalty that I’ve shown them and not be charged for the appointment. I even offered to pay only the therapist fee as a compromise. The manager said that I “disrespected” Massage Envy by not showing up, it wasn’t their mistake and they had no reason to accommodate my request. Also, I live around the corner, so if someone would have called, I could have salvaged most of my session. But this location has a policy — it is too much work for the staff to call clients — according to the manager I spoke with. When I walked in at 5:55pm, my therapist and the receptionist said they knew I had simply mixed up the times, but that they would have been fired if they called. I don’t understand the no call policy — I received two calls in the previous week asking if I wanted to add a stretch session before my appointment. This business has no concept of loyalty, accommodation, or just plain common sense. Enter at your own risk.

Please don’t sign for the membership or you’ll end up like me looking like a chump spending $75 a month for a year. I don’t ever plan on returning I didn’t care for the stretch. I am not comfortable getting a full body massage. I will never visit another franchise or their competitor. I honestly don’t even know why I signed up. I sent an email to cancel I simply don’t want to be a member. I received a call back from the manager, a lovely lady no hostility towards her, but I was informed I was stuck paying for an entire year. Please learn from me don’t get the membership!

My therapist, Christian, is very attentive to to what may be affecting me on each visit, providing the most relief to the area of focus. He is extremely polite and professional and just a calming demeanor. He is definitely my favorite.

This location left much to be desired. The lobby looks like a Dr’s office, not a spa. The therapist smelled like she was a smoker. Her long fingernails were digging into my skin and she seemed to think she was using a pressure point style treatment, but she doesn’t know where the pressure points are so it was just uncomfortable jabbing into me. I asked her to use less pressure but it didn’t help her poor technique. The franchise charged me more than my home location. We pay the same because the rates have recently gone up, but I was still charged more. This would have been easy to source and inform me before my appointment rather than be an ugly surprise at the end. Instead of asking what was wrong, the receptionist rolled her eyes at me and used a rude tone of voice.

Elliot was mindful of my painful areas and the level of pressure applied. By the end of the session the level of pain had diminished greatly.I felt such a relief after the session! Will definitely do it again.
