DO NOT ENTER A CONTRACT, as a matter of fact, just don’t go at all!!! You have to book appointments months in advance. If you miss a contractual payment, they freeze your account so that you can’t make appointments, even if you have several months worth of credits in your account. They house a lot of students and recent graduates, many lack experience, so it is a waste of money and time. If they offered discounted prices to see a student or graduate, it would be more reasonable. I have been to many locations, and it’s the same across all, they are certainly overpriced for the services they provide, or lack there of.

**Update- This location has improved and been going there off and on since the pandemic. Germantown is better now. I do not recommend the Gaithersburg location. Poor customer service. It’s been this way for a long while.**

Here’s the thing with massage envy. Inconsistent, some of the massage therapists are pretty good and then they fall off the hill. Evidently they’re training must not be up to par. And I must not be away to keep up with therapists and how they are with the clients. With that said some of the customers must be okay with a subpar massage. With my hard work and money I want what I asked for and I want a massage therapist that’s knowledgeable not someone that just put their hands on you and call it a massage. Basically you get what you ask for here but don’t be surprised when the massage therapist gives a below average massage.

Hands down awful of a place for so many reasons. When positive feedback is warranted I am the first to want to boast about my great experience but this place is just awful. Front desk staff isn’t courteous, they don’t answer or return calls if you attempt communication. Do not make this your home location by opening an account here unless you have properly vetted and like their protocols, therapists and service. I attempted to freeze my membership due to medical reasons and had to go in person to do it as they never answer the phone. They promised to freeze my membership but never sent proof of it and eventually froze it for the wrong date. This created a complication when I tried to use my credit one last time thinking that my request was honored at another terrible location ( Gaithersburg) but was asked to pay double at the non membership price due to my account being frozen at the wrong time. The Gaithersburg massage staff are excellent but their management is rude and unprofessional.

Critical: CommunicationConsumers beware – this is a business. Your health is not a priority.I am saddened to be writing this review. My relationship with ME started through a Christmas gift 3 years ago. I later became a member and was initially pleased. But it has been two years and I am still trying to untangle my relationship with this place. I’d be remiss if I did not mention or convey my understanding of COVID’s impact to the industry. .However, there are better options to finding a massage therapist or aesthetician and you will have to because this place is impossible to get into.My husband and I both have over $720 worth of credits that we are risking walking away from because of the unavailability for appointments and their business model. First off you have to be a member to get the better pricing. Your membership buys you a credit for one service per month and if you need additional therapy within the month, you simply pay for the visit. This would be a fine model if they had the resources to provide services timely. In addition trying to communicate with the manager is impossible. In early 2020 (at the height of COVID) rather than freezing accounts, I had to call them to suspend our accounts to stop them from charging us and accruing additional credits that we could not use because the location was closed. It took me several emails and phone calls to finally get the manager. The other option to stop accruing credits is to freeze your account. However, to freeze your account you must pay $10 monthly fee. The $10 fee allows you access to continue to use the facility without accruing additional credits. So fast forward to today and I am trying to freeze my account. I reached out to the location in late November and got a voicemail that the location was closed for an employee outing (of sorts). So I followed up, albeit after my account was charged for December, but I sent the required paperwork that the helpful receptionist Veronica sent to me. I emailed the paperwork back on Dec 8th and crickets. No response or acknowledgement of receipt. However, today I see that my credit card was charged the full “membership” amount for January. So now I have 6 credits and my husband has 7. Also because this place is franchised there is no where to complain. The manager who is the franchise owner is unresponsive. The therapists are quite lovely but this business model sucks. Save yourself the mental and physical stress go somewhere else. Also, if you think changing the location will change the outcome, your wrong!Consumers beware – this is a business. Your health is not a priority.I am saddened to be writing this review. I have been a member since they first opened in another part of Germantown. I have had two massage therapists, (Samantha and then Matt), the entire time!

Staff seems to be great. The masseuse was excellent. The trouble with business is not how you do what you’re supposed to do, but how you handle problems. I did sign up for a membership that I didn’t use. I did my 6 month commitment and paid my70.00 each month. When the time was finally up for me to cancel I called to cancel. When I called I was told by the employee that answered that she needed to talk to her manager. The manager called and told me I need to put it in writing. So I did I wrote an email. Then she told me I needed to fill out a form. She then asked how we would handle this situation in my business this was out of line. The photos of that conversation will be on my yelp review. I did what I was supposed to do paid the 70.00 for something I wasn’t using because that’s the deal I made. But when it came time to cancel it was a big deal and I just think it should be easier.

I have been a loyal client for over four years. I decided to cancel my membership after my two favorite people, Alyssa and Yuan, had left at different times over the years to pursue their own businesses. I have been trying to end my membership at the Germantown location since December. I have had a face-to-face conversation with Kristi Nizich in December when she told me she would email me the form to fill in to cancel my membership, which she did not do. I have emailed her multiple times asking for the form with no response. I called today and spoke with a young woman who said she would talk with Kristi. I am not expecting a different result, so I finally called my credit card company to ask for a new card today in order for the payments to stop. Horrible customer service from Kristi.
