I booked a deep-tissue massage months ago, carved out time from working. I then needed to reschedule the date and then the time, per the therapist’s request, twice. Today I drove 20 minutes to arrive at my appointment and be told that my therapist was out sick, and that the receptionist apparently dialed the incorrect number, which didn’t have a voicemail, and didn’t attempt a second time to confirm she reached the correct number. 40+ minutes of my day wasted, when I rarely take time from work. No attempts whatsoever by Massage Envy manager to reach out.

Just like the other reviewer Susan, I too paused my membership during Covid as I have underlying conditions and prefer not to be up close and personal with outsiders. I too checked my credit card statement and saw that they have been charging me for the past year, despite our agreement to pause my membership. $540.00 in charges. I never gave them permission to unfreeze my membership and begin charging my card. I reached out to Jessica the General Manager & asked them to refund my money. She told me the same thing about the signed contract (precovid) being in effect. She told me that I had until 10/18/21 to use my remaining sessions and that I could transfer 3 of those sessions to someone else. How is this helpful considering we are still in a Pandemic? I don’t understand why I can’t put all of the remaining sessions on hold until this pandemic is over. Terribly disappointed in the lack of understanding during unusual circumstances. Not sure what to do at this point to get refunded or sessions extended.

Surprised at the bad reviews. My husband and I are both members and we’ve never had a single problem at the Westport Massage Envy. In fact, on two occasions they bent over backwards to help us. Very considerate.

My experience with Massage Envy of Westport has been nothing but positive. I’ve been pampered by Suzanne for several years. She is careful to determine what I need on each visit, and I always leave with the kinks worked out and a delicious feeling of calm. I had to put my membership on hold for a few months and the owner, Shilpa, couldn’t have been kinder, or more understanding and accommodating. My needs were met completely. The complaints or frustrations others have mentioned have simply not been part of my experience. My best piece of advice is, if you want Suzanne, schedule EARLY. She is a treasure and much in demand.

That was a waste of my time and money. Should have just gone to a salon for a manicure that comes with a massage. This reminded me of being with my ex in the sense that I made him stop touching me because he was so awful at it. For the first 15 minutes I kept waiting for it to get better. Then after a while I waz just wondering when it was gonna be over. For a little while I thought about instructing the person but I kept my mouth shut. I almost walked out at one point too but decided to just wait it out and see if any of it would be decent. Nope. whole hour was LAME and some of it painful. HUGE waste of time. And the stupid woman up front had the nerve to pressure me into leaving a gratuity tip!!!!! And they kept trying to talk me into joining! Horrible service and waste of time. Never going back!

Contract from HELL! Tried freezing my account twice for almost a year now, the Manager at the Westport location can’t bother to call me but has no problem taking my payment. HORRIBLE PLACE!!!! Paying by massage rather than this ridiculous contract is much easier, cheaper and definitely less stressful!
