George is a wonderful person inside and out. He truly cares for the wellness of his clients and does not hesitate to make their days better by contributing his time and great efforts into his massages. He is well-versed in a multitude of massage techniques that he has picked up along the way through his own experiences from other massage therapists around the world. I was one of George’s earliest clients, as he recruited me for a free massage as part of his training or the beginning of his business (before the pandemic, in 2018 or 2019, I cannot recall). But from the beginning George has been a good fit for me for massage because he has strong hands and is capable of producing deep pressure, because he took the time to ask me what I was looking for; and 3) because I trusted him and felt safe with a male :LMT, which I don’t always do. I prefer women therapists in general. I tried George because I knew him back when he was attorney and know him to be a kind, respectful person and certainly trustworthy. After a number of regular massages from George until the pandemic hit, I can see that George has translated his love for helping people as an attorney to helping people feel better with massage. My massage yesterday was after a long period of not getting massages (for many reasons, none of which have to do with George). What I noticed is that the experience in the meantime has honed George’s craft– he is smoother with draping and moving around the body. I came in with some pain on one side of my ribs and left with none. In my opinion, George’s style is deep pressure (I had to ask him to use less pressure a few times), with more vigorous, energetic strokes than slow and smooth strokes. I also experienced a great deal of energy movement, especially from the more tender parts of my muscles to those attached that weren’t so sore. During the massage, I feel alert, grounded, and experience the feelings in my body in ways I never have with other massage therapists. George was also really responsive to my timing and fit me in within 24 hours, at a day and time preferential for me. Massage and what works for everyone is very personal, but I would highly recommend trying George out if you are looking for a trustworthy, good person along with someone skilled in understanding how to relieve muscle pain.
